“A$$kicker” Coffee

OC: Viscous Coffee, a café in Adelaide, Australia, sells a cup of super-coffee that contains five grams of caffeine – 80 times more than a normal cup of java and half the dose considered to be lethal. Called the “Asskicker”, the strong beverage comes with a health warning for people with heart problems and blood pressure issues.

A cup of espresso has about 60mg of caffeine, while a serving of standard filtered coffee has about 150mg of it, depending on how it is prepared. The Asskicker contains five full grams of caffeine, which Viscous Coffee owner Steve Benington says is enough to provide 12 to 18 hours of “sustained up-time”. But the high caffeine content means it shouldn’t be consumed in one go, but slowly, over a period of four hours.  MORE

  1. I cold brewed coffee a few times last month. I felt so up and go, that I started wondering how much caffeine cold brewing actually expelled into my cup. It was delicious, but I need to do more research before I make it again and suck down 30 oz.

  2. In the last couple months I’ve become a real Tea fan. I feel better durring the day with more energy. Probably all in my little head. When the weather turns cold I’ll probably jump back to coffee.

  3. Too much caffeine all at once! I know I’ve had too much when I hit the level of feeling like I need to pee all the time. “Put the cup DOWN”, I tell myself.

I would expect that after the first cup of this. Bladder kicker?

  4. I never had the money to buy coffee and I don’t like the taste.
I would add suger and milk to kill the taste. So what’s the point.
So I started buying caffine pills. At the time I could get 100 for a $1.99.
    100 mg.
I never took more that one pill every 4/6 hours.
    Did this for 30+ years.
I have also drank tea for 50+ years. Tea bags only.
Can’t stand pissing around with loose tea.
