  1. Lard ass has a point. Morning gleanings from the local coffee shop and news reports of real people and not political pundits says Trump scored big.

What I am hearing is there was NO substance in what Killary said. Donald gave specifics and not ‘pie-in-the-sky’ tired cliches.
Killary – same old playbook that has hurt small business and working people in the past. It’s tired and she’s a just a slick hack.
She’s too far left. A typical life long politician and they are tired of it.
Donald is real and Killary was a smirking fake.

Interestingly these comments came from fence-sitters and Democrats. Working stiffs who listened to Killary and heard nothing that appealed to them or will help them.
Killary is no Bill, she has no appeal, is fake and is unlikable.

  2. The MSM are doing the usual “pull my finger and i fart” schtick. No surprise, just smelly. In the main stream media’s eyes they are staying the course, remaining faithful to their Coven leader, Shrillary. THE REST OF THE WORLD disagrees, and they refuse to even acknowledge anything but their own lies. Someone should ask them “Do you not hear the bells tolling? That is your death by a 1000 cuts.”

  3. M&M’s no fool. He sees some handwriting starting to appear on the Trumpian wall and he’s trying to hedge his bets so he can make nice with his new overlords, if the occasion arises.

  4. Cartoonist Scott Adams take:

Clinton won on points. She had more command of the details and the cleaner answers. Trump did a lot of interrupting and he was defensive. If this were a college debate competition, Clinton would be declared the winner. I call that victory on the 2D chess board. . . .

But Trump needed to solve exactly one problem: Look less scary. Trump needed to counter Clinton’s successful branding of him as having a bad temperament to the point of being dangerous to the country. Trump accomplished exactly that . . . by . . . losing the debate.

Trump was defensive, and debated poorly at points, but he did not look crazy. And pundits noticed that he intentionally avoided using his strongest attacks regarding Bill Clinton’s scandals. In other words, he showed control. He stayed in the presidential zone under pressure. And in so doing, he solved for his only remaining problem. He looked safer.

By tomorrow, no one will remember what either of them said during the debate. But we will remember how they made us feel.

Clinton won the debate last night. And while she was doing it, Trump won the election. He had one thing to accomplish—being less scary—and he did it.
