Asked to define the middle class, Hillary fails – drifts into miserable, meaningless, word salad

“middle class is a hard-to-define economic target,” it’s “a reflection of the success of the United States from the very beginning,” and “the middle class is both real and aspirational.”

CainTV:

Cowardly.

Hillary Clinton has vowed, many, many, times, not to “raise taxes on the middle class.”  The middle class, she’ll argue, must be protected, encouraged, nurtured, and grown. That’s super, but if you ask her to define the middle class, things tend not to go so well. In fact, it appears she doesn’t really know what she thinks the middle class actually is.

Take a look at what happened when a reporter asked her for a concrete definition of Hillary’s favorite voting bloc:

  1. Create greater opportunity for those willing to work for it…
Hmmmmmm, Gee Wally, then how come in the past seven years we have almost half the country dependent on the government? Blacks have seen their unemployment rate skyrocket up to levels not seen since the Great Depression.
Oh I see, I guess they’re just not willing to work for it, uh Hillbag?

    Make America Great Again.
    Make America Work Again!

  2. To help Madame in her socioeconomic explorations:

I used to be middle class. Now I consider myself “working poor,” a victim of a stagnant salary, skyrocketing prices, and overtaxation.

Here is a list of things I have had to give up recently to continue living within my means because I JUST CAN’T AFFORD THEM ANYMORE:

Antiques, avocadoes, books, Broadway shows (even half-price tickets), cheese, gifts and donations, greeting cards, magazines, movies, pedicures, restaurants, soda…..and this is just off the top of my head…..I could surely list many more things.

Here is a list of things I really need now but can’t buy because I JUST DON’T HAVE THE MONEY:

Bath towels, bed linens, bras (mastectomy), curtains, dress shoes, panties, pantyhose, raincoat, running shoes, shower curtain, sink mat, sweaters. I’m down to my last pair of jeans and I’m praying the seat doesn’t give out until I get a raise…..

Wait a minute. I have to get a raise to buy a new pair of jeans?

This makes no sense on so many different levels. I work very hard at a job that requires considerable skill. My sense of entitlement doesn’t extend to Carribean cruises, a luxury automobile, or Christian Loboutin shoes. But it’s a horrible insult that, as hard as I work, my work stress is compounded by the stress of worrying constantly about whether or not I can afford this or that. And there is a whole underclass that I am supporting that don’t need dress shoes or dry cleaning because they don’t work and can therefore roll around dressed like bums. So while I sit here and scrub my ratty old running shoes with bleach wipes because I can’t afford new, Shaniqua’s son is decked out in $200 kicks……..

I have become very, very bitter about this situation. And who do I blame? LIB POLITICIANS LIKE HILLARY!

Do you get why I’m not voting for you now, you stupid elitist bitch?

  3. “My accomplishments as Secretary of State? Well, I’m glad you asked! My proudest accomplishment in which I take the most pride, mostly because of the opposition it faced early on, you know, the remnants of prior situations and mindsets that were too narrowly focused in a manner whereby they may have overlooked the bigger picture and we didn’t do that and I’m proud of that. Very proud. I would say that’s a major accomplishment.”–Hillary Clinton, March 11 2014

She’s not getting better, is she? Not at all.

  4. The middle class is the deplorables she speaks of. And someday Bernie’s basement dwellers if they apply themselves and have some opportunity. She can’t articulate a response because she has no connection nor ability to empathize. She resents having to appeal to anyone to earn a vote. If she wins we will be ruled by a woman that hates us, a mean spirited sinister corrupt individual that will gladly punish those that speak out against her. So it isn’t a surprise she lacks the ability to even pretend she understand who makes up the middle class.

If you have medical insurance you should be able to buy mastectomy bras with a prescription from your doctor, and most of the cost should be covered by insurance. Check it out. Durable medical equipment. If your forms are more than 5 years old you might get those replaced, covered with a prescription as well.

  6. @Steve Brown: I am impressed with your sense of decorum!

@Bad_Brad: The plan is to move to Texas once I retire. Then I can take my big-assed New York State pension and live like royalty in a place that has a more reasonable cost of living. I’m sorry Commiefornia is getting on your last nerve. Where would you relocate?

@Zonga: My insurance used to pay for 100% of bras and forms. Now, only 50%. And I wear two forms as a bilateral mastectomee. To replace that all now would cost about $1,000 total. I just don’t have $500 right now. But I understand Medicaid pays for everything!

  7. The noise a gerbil wheel makes, as the gerbil runs in circles, makes more sense than Hillary does, at anytime. In fact, it is a preferred sound over the voice of Hillary.
