Congratulations, GOP. After 25 years of failure and betrayal your base is ‘ready for a revolution’

CAINtv: People are fed up.  They’re angry.  They’re furious.  …And you can thank the GOP for it.

I’ve been arguing – for well over a decade now – that the party had long abandoned its constitutionalist roots.  The base demanded strict-constructionists but, for a variety of reasons, it was force-fed a cadre of candidates that were about as far from that ideal as a Republican can get.

While top tier GOPers derided true small-government politicians as throwbacks, Birchers, and “wacko birds,” their constituents were force fed a parade of expansionists that included Bush, Dole, Bush, McCain, Romney, and – if the party had its way – Bush again.

This week, we got confirmation of something else I’ve been arguing for ages – those “wackos” would probably already have this election sewn up.

  1. From the Article:
Woman at Pence rally: “If Hillary Clinton gets in … I’m ready for a revolution”.
    Pence: “Don’t say that.”

I’m thinking this situation has to potential to turn ugly if Hillary assumes office (notice I didn’t say get’s elected). We may finally see what happens when the working middle class finally takes up rioting.

  2. A popular book in the 90s was called GENERATIONS by Neil Howe and William Strauss. They proposed an interesting and very feasible view of American history that coincided with generational personalities based on parental nurture. Every so often a “social moment”, or crisis, occurs. (The civil war is an example.) They predicted another “social moment” between 2015 and 2020.

  3. Unless Trump wins and completes the process of wresting control of the GOP brand from erstwhile owners, I’m done with it and will do all I can to destroy it as a political force. The Democrat party must be destroyed to restore government of and by the people, and the shortest path to that goal is no longer through the GOP but through its replacement in the two party system with another more willing to function as a true opposition. Death (in a figurative sense for now) to the GOP!

  4. For me it started with Arlen Sphincter, who eventually showed his true colors, and became a democrat. Voters in Wisconsin must turn out in droves to NOT vote for Paul Rino, but massively support Trump.

Sadly, Deplorable TWP, the democrats would only consolidate their monopoly of power if they win, while GOP has a civil war. To put it mildly, things are pretty fucked up at the moment. Let’s do something about it, and get all our asses and friends asses out and vote.
