Feds Beef Up Security on NORTHERN Border…To Keep Dems IN or Canadians OUT?

Ironically, documentation required to cross the U.S.-Canada border is already so strict (“proof of citizenship and proof of identity”) that it rivals the voter I.D. laws liberals deem voter suppression and racist.  – MORE at MRC

  1. It looks like the MRC story isn’t very well researched. 8 of the 13 sites that are offering signing bonuses are on the southern border.
    I have spent a winter within 15 miles of Portal ND and you could not convince me to live there for $32-$40K which is what the position pays.

    From USA Jobs:
    “Customs and Border Protection Officers (CBPO) may be eligible for overtime pay (up to an additional 25% of salary). Customs and Border Protection Officers (CBPO) may have a higher starting salary based on their duty location. Please visit the OPM website for information. Additionally, if you select one of the duty locations below you may be able to receive an additional 25% of your salary each year for the first 3 years of employment. A service agreement is required prior to entering on duty. This incentive applies to new federal employees only and is dependent upon available funds.
    Douglas, Lukeville, Nogales and San Luis, AZ;
    Calexico and San Ysidro, CA;
    Coburn Gore and Jackman, ME;
    Raymond, MT;
    Pembina (10% only) and Portal, ND; and
    Laredo and Presidio, TX”

  2. There was a congressional hearing on this about a year ago. Ironically, the witnesses testifying were members of the Canadian refugee resettlement council touting the benefits of our countries working together to bring more in and “there’s safety in cooperation”.
    The head agent for the northern US Border Patrol was sounding the alarm of the present danger along 5500 miles of rural terrain and lack of funding for agents. Can’t recall the # of agents we have but it’s ridiculously low.
    We cross the border to Montreal often and both US/CBSA are extremely thorough. Then again, we’re not traipsing thru the woods under cover of darkness.

  3. Fire a whole bunch of useless
    cubical squatting bungling bureaucrats.
    Then we would have money to pay border
    patrol agents $80-$95k and hire 10x as many !!!
    Give ’em bigger 4×4 trucks and MUCH bigger guns !!!
