Fight for 15 looks down for the count.
Andy Puzder understands what almost no liberals have even the slightest clue about: Businesses exist to maximize profit. If an employee enjoys prosperity as a result of providing value to the business and being commensurately rewarded, that’s a good thing that makes everyone happy. But the purpose of the business is not to make employees rich just for the sake of it. It’s to make the shareholders rich.
So when dopes take to the streets demanding a minimum wage of $15 with their mindless #FightFor15, Puzder understand exactly what that will mean. Minimum wage employees aren’t worth $15 an hour, and if that’s what they need to be paid, then smart businesses like Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. – whose parent company Puzder serves as CEO – will have to start investing in technology to do things like the taking of food orders. He’d rather employee people, but he’s not dumb enough to do it if he has to lose money on the employment relationships.
The #FightFor15 can only succeed if the protesters convince people in government, who share their ignorance about the cost of labor in the business world, that this is a fair wage.
Get rid of the minimum wage altogether, kick out the illegals and put these pansy ass punk 14-25 year old punks back to work again!
I wouldn’t give my own fcuking kid more than $5 an hour, why in the world would I expect him to make $15? He’s too fcuking stupid!
I started out as low man on the totem pole, he can too. Problem is, everyone else besides me also knows he’s not worth more than $5 hour, so he doesn’t have a job. And we wonder why they need fcuking puppies and blankets to get through a weekly status meeting???
@old_oaks – Bingo. There should be no minimum wage. The now old adage that the govt-mandated minimum wage is better known is more accurately called the black youth unemployment program is true and easily provable. And saying so makes collectivists’ heads go SPLAT! (-:

I made $5 an hour ’68, ’69, when I was 16 and again at 17. For that money I climbed to the top of a Bycyrus-Erie crane. Removed the cable that lifted the concrete sheet piling into position to drive it into the marsh creating the Sea Pines yacht basin. The next year I pushed an untold amount of creosoted boards 6 feet into the same marsh mud creating a seawall to build the ground supporting the fake lighthouse. So familiar to golfers and Heritage fans everywhere. Learned to speak Geechee too.
Hell yeah, I worked hard for the money, so did everybody else. I drank a hard earned beer too.
Let me tell you, that was big money. Never did like coffee then, an RC and a bag of Tom’s peanuts poured in, redneck breakfast.
Work heard, earn it.

yes this guy appears to be a big immigration, pro-amnesty Gang of Eight McCain/Graham type. He gets two thumbs up from Jeb and Eric Cantor (badges of shame). I cannot imagine how that bodes nothing bug bad. I myself would not die on the minimum wage hill, but I believe strongly we need to shut off the immigration fire hose.

My experience with a Carl’s Jr…..There wasn’t a lick of English spoken behind the cash register. The employees were rude and ignored you.I understand enough Spanish to know that they didn’t like gringos, and THEY ARE NOW OUT OF BUSINESS….this guy is a wounded illegal immigrant provider….
