  1. World class. I’ve known several members of the numerous military groups and they are all stellar people. Their only job was to rehearse a few hours a day and play hundreds of gigs around the world. It is the “gravy gig” of the military. I got a first-hand account of a barbecue in China where the diplomats got in a disagreement right when the thing started and they packed up all the stuff and few home.

  2. Thank You, Lovely.

“Patapan” is a French Christmas carol in Burgundian dialect, later adapted into English. It was written by Bernard de La Monnoye and first published in Noël bourguignons in 1720. Its original title is “Guillô, Pran Ton Tamborin”. The carol revolves around the birth of Jesus Christ, and is told from the perspective of shepherds playing simple instruments—flutes and drums—the onomatopoetic sound of which gives the song its name.
