Obama circumvents Constitution with ‘signing statements’ after blasting Bush

WT: President Obama said Friday that the annual defense policy bill Congress sent him violated the Constitution — but he signed it anyway.

Instead of a veto, Mr. Obama issued a statement saying he would modify the law in its execution so he carries it out the way he thinks meets constitutional muster.

Mr. Obama promised during the 2008 campaign not to engage in issuing signing statements. He said that kind of behavior was a dark spot on the presidency of George W. Bush. But in the years since, Mr. Obama has become a regular practitioner, issuing more than 20 signing statements purporting to alter the way Congress wrote laws.

  1. I’m sure in the next 25 days Obama will keep busy doing everything he can to screw America and our true allies and leave a huge mess for DJT. No wonder he thinks he deserves yet another vacation after he leaves.

  2. How anyone can explain that one president can do something the next president cannot undo is beyond me.
I’m sure they are eagerly awaiting January 20, 2021 2025, when their Dem candidate will surely, surely win!!!
‘Pence is the president now??? Why is the world filled with hate???’
    😉

  3. Obama is small minded, vindictive, sulky, and mean spirited.

But I’m beginning to wonder if his recent dangerous actions are driven by those traits or
if he is becoming mentally unhinged as eviction day draws nearer.

He may have the urge to do even worse things over the next 24 days,
and no one in his inner circle would advise him not to or try to stop him.
