Washington Examiner : Washington is beefing up security in the run up to President-elect Trump’s Jan. 20 inauguration, including the deployment of 5,000 National Guard troops downtown amid security concerns.
Mayor Muriel Bowser said despite increased security concerns, the city is prepared and ready for the event, she said Friday at a press conference with U.S. Secret Service and other security forces.
“We prepare for the biggest number possible,” Bowser said. Secret Service special agent Brian Ebert said the Washington field office is “well-prepared and ready for this inauguration.” Β more here

Do the country a favour, find a liberal and punch them in the mouth on general principle.

There was an article in Ace earlier today mentioning that some lefties were buying guns. Fine. They’ll eventually have to learn how to use them. So if they go to ranges they’ll have no choice but to rub elbows with other gun owners. Mainly, us. Let the small talk fly. They’ll realize we’re not “Hitleresque” as they proclaim us to be. In addition to the 5,000 National Guard troops being deployed in the city, 3,000 security officers from multiple jurisdiction will also be on the ground, according to security officials.
The city’s interim police chief, Peter Newsham, said the city is ready for all contingencies and is monitoring social media to track activists and others looking to disrupt the 58th inauguration.
“Some folks that are indicating on social media that they’re coming to shut down the inauguration or the events,” Police Chief Newsham said. “[It] is something that we will be prepared for.”
Sad thing is, it only takes one lone crazy sniper hiding somewhere to do the damage no matter how much security you have. May the Lord watch over trump on that day and every day.
