DC- With immigration courts reaching a record backlog in 2016, Secretary of Homeland Security John Kelly ordered Monday that illegal immigrants who have been in the U.S. for less than two years should be allowed to be deported without a court hearing.
Kelly signed two memos Monday that made significant changes to the nation’s immigration policy. They ordered the immediate construction of a border wall, expanded the amount of local police who will enforce immigration law, and put every illegal immigrant — excluding those protected under President Obama’s executive amnesty — at risk of deportation.
Good. Most of these judges have their heads up their asses anyway.
Winning!
Now if we can get President Trump on the GO stick and get the rest of his cabinet filled, as well as his other appointments stacked up.
I wish he’d just send the nominations up and especially the judicial appointments. Stack them in the Senate, because right now, 100 days is closing in fast, and it feels like he’s stalled.
Shoving his tremendous amount of appointments off his desk and onto the senate would be so nice. Then let them go on recess!
(Seems I’m being memory holed… preface apologies for any multiple posts, as I try to act smarter than an iPod.)
I expect much wailing and teeth gnashing from Popular Propaganda™. I just hope that Reasonable People™ can keep True Conservatives™ out of the Gitmo rabbit hole. Here’s a suggestion: I’ll listen to your arguments about “no judicial oversight” for government action against non-citizens, after — and only after — you’ve implemented judicial oversight in place of — not in addition to — administrative procedure against citizens.
Why limit this at all? As far as I know being here for two years does not confer any rights on the illegal, they’ve only been illegal longer.
Illegal “immigrants” are criminals by definition.
Regardless of how long you’ve been sucking the public teat.
You came here illegally – you broke the law – you are a criminal – and everything that flows from that is criminal.
We need to do the right thing – and repatriate these poor lost sojourners to their rightful homes – back to breathe freely the free air of the nation of their nativity. I’m sure they would prefer to return to where they’d be welcomed with open arms, rather than having to “live in the shadows” in a foreign, hostile land.
izlamo delenda est …
Guess what? We don’t need no stinking Leftist Judges!
I’m with Tim, who put it perfectly.
They’re just “lost “. Like milk carton children. The poor little dears.
Let’s help them out by putting them on a bus for home.
Just follow Officer Friendly with the M4 into the unmarked big white Homecoming Bus with the safety bars on the windows.
Vaya con Dios!
