DC: Republican Ohio Gov. John Kasich, a stalwart supporter of Obamacare’s Medicaid expansion, thinks the congressional effort to repeal the health care law needs to shift left to court Democrats instead of conservative members of the GOP.
Kasich was the first Republican governor to expand Medicaid in his own state and is vocally pushing Congress to preserve the extra federal funding for broadened Medicaid eligibility during Obamacare repeal.
“There’s going to be a problem in the House of getting anything out of there that still provides coverage to people,” Kasich said on CBS’ “Face the Nation” on Sunday. “That’s why the Republicans have to reach out to some of the Democrats. I don’t know whether this is going to happen.”
It occurs to me that there is a commonality among RINOs that has been overlooked. They possess the same characteristic of being too lazy or intelligent enough to do the job they were elected to do; going after lofo’s on the appeal of emotion is so much easier.
There’s much Kasich doesn’t know.
He certainly doesn’t know anything about loyalty or how he can be a team player to correct the evils of the Obama administration.
Obama picked up the tab (via confiscated taxpayer wages) for expanded Medicaid by the states for the first years as an incentive to hook them. The fed stops footing the bill in 2018.
Kasich and every other governor knew this. The states can’t possibly pick up the tab for all the able bodied, childless drug addicts Obamacare put on Medicaid so they’ll be demanding single payer to bail them out.

The few remaining Democrat governors loudly condemned Trump’s plan to block grant the Medicaid money to the states and let them be responsible for the amount of care and types of individuals who get it. Wonder why they’d be upset with more power at the state level?
