DC: Veteran Associated Press diplomatic writer Matt Lee refuted a report from The Washington Post Thursday that some State Department officers have been instructed not to look Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in the eye.
Lee conceded the juicy rumor makes for an interesting headline, but assured his readers based on personal experience that the claim is false.
“It’s compelling gossip,” he tweeted. “I have looked him [Tillerson] in the eyes and not turned to stone. At least not yet…”
The assertion, which was sourced to anonymous “career diplomats,” generated a wave of ridicule and criticism of Tillerson on social media. Left-leaning news outlets quickly picked up and spread the report, which characterizes Tillerson as someone who makes outrageous demands of his subordinates.
They confused Tillerson with Hillary Clinton, with whom this was an ironclad rule.
Yes the media are on to things.
Don’t look Mr. Tillerson in the eye. Bullshit.
President Trump if afraid of stairs. Bullshit.
President Bush has an arrogant swagger. Bullshit.
Obama pranced down from Air Force One. True.
Like a faggot. True
Yea, I remember former anonymous Secret Service agent told me that they were instructed never to stare at Michelle Obama’s bulge.
When you have AP “refuting” WaPo…you KNOW “The End” is near!
Anonymous sources = Fake News
It’s just amazing the amount of abuse Republicans, especially President Trump’s administration, have to tolerate and withstand from the wicked corrupt lying Democrat Media Mafia.
Watching the leftist press turn on each other is entertaining.
Two bitches pulling hair and hissing just
