Donnelly (D) A Yes on Gorsuch SCOTUS Nomination

Breitbart: Sen. Joe Donnelly (D-IN) has issued a statement declaring he is joining two other Democrats who will cast a yes vote or federal judge Neil Gorsuch to be seated on the U.S. Supreme Court, Reuters reported on Sunday.

Sens. Joe Manchen (D-WV) and Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) have also said they will vote to confirm Gorsuch’s nomination.

“After meeting with Judge Gorsuch, conducting a thorough review of his record, and closely following his hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee, I believe that he is a qualified jurist who will base his decisions on his understanding of the law and is well-respected among his peers,” Donnelly said in the statement.

  1. Red state Dems know they are going to have a rough election so they are not rocking the boat.
Blue state Dems know they will have a tough nomination if they show support for Republicans, especially President Trump.

  2. Endangered Species: Democrat Senators from red states that are up for re-election in 2018.

For the next 20 months they’ll have to pretend to be patriotic Americans.

  3. Donnelly was only elected because Richard Mourdock his GOP opponent accidentally suggested in the debate that pregnancies resulting from rape are “something that God intended to happen”. This next election is a no win for Donnelly as long as the Republicans pick a smooth talking politician to run. But it is fun to see the Democrats in Indiana freaking out on him for this. He deserves all the suffering this will bring for his continued support of Obamacare.

  4. You can bet that all three received permission to vote for the good Judge because of their shaky election chances back home. What I’d love to see is a leaked email between them and the party whip to that effect.

  5. I’m planning to humor him AFTER he votes by leaving a ty phone call.

I have irrefutable knowledge he conned some pro-lifers here in Indiana. No, it wasn’t me though.

  6. Repeal the 17th amendment.
The poster boy for why that amendment should have never passed should not have the right to judge wo is on the SC.
I was watching him do his statements today, rehashing the truck driver in the ice storm story, looking up for a smile at the camera after each page.
He’s much funnier pretending to be a senator than playing his unfunny SNL characters.
When he doesn’t get his way, will he do his baby diaper routine?
