ABW: You’d think there wouldn’t be much of a role for the government in regulating pizza (even if it is indirectly), but with a federal registrar topping 81,640 pages in length, there’s a regulation for everything. Obama set numerous regulatory records during his presidency – both for the greatest number of pages of regulations added to the federal registrar in a single day, and in a single year. And while he’s no longer president, there are some zombie regulations set to take effect next month if Donald Trump doesn’t halt them.
Thanks to Obamacare, franchise restaurants (with more than 20 locations) will have to provide calorie counts for every item on the menu – and every possible variant of that item.
I don’t think the obama zombies ever slept. It’s impossible to know how many land mines they’ve planted.
I never go to Starbucks but this might be a reason to make an exception.
“Pardon, can you show be the calorie counts for a venti, half-whole milk, one quarter 1%, one quarter non-fat, extra hot, split quad shots (1 1/2 shots decaf, 2 1/2 shots regular), no foam latte, with whip, 2 packets of splenda, 1 sugar in the raw, a touch of vanilla syrup and 3 short sprinkles of cinnamon?”
Bingo – between health care and climate change regulation government can rule every single thing you do in your life and control the majority of the economy. That is all this ever was about.
It’s illegal to put Peeps® on a pizza. 🙂

While zoologists have not confirmed the role of pizza in the dietary requirements of sasquatches, it is known that they will eat almost anything, living or dead.
However, it seems unlikely that pizza is encountered during the beast’s natural foraging.
If you have to ask, you can’t afford it
81,640 pages in length!!! Whoever had a hand in this, I hope their eyes shrivel up and fall out through their assholes.
Are ‘Ouch’ and ‘Bang’ OK for results of calorie counts?
the restaurants should make up a calorie count and just post it.
who the hell in the federal government is going to actually check the count and how are they going to do it?
the cost of policing truthful compliance falls on the government and they don’t have that much money do they ?
at some point the number of regulations makes it impossible to police them all.
when that happens it just becomes politics.
If you have to ask how many calories I’m thinking you should order the “glass of tap water and two saltines”…

“Pardon, can you show be the calorie counts for…”
Why Yes, Yes I can.
This chart from Corporate…
And thats why your cup is 3 quarters and 8 percent more dollars than last week.
…and the size is 4% smaller, but we try not to talk about that.
Let them try to enforce it. Phuckem.
The whole point is that they can pick up anyone, for no reason whatsoever, and find a statute that that person has broken – and thus demand restitution or punishment.
We’re already seeing it with Drug Enforcement and IRS:
Confiscations without Convictions.
