Betsy DeVos has done more for the black community than most “civil rights” leaders

Bomb Throwers: On Wednesday students at the largely black Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, Fla., interrupted a speech by U.S. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos. Some heckled her, while others turned their back. She was supposed to speak for an hour but left after 20 minutes.

Betsy DeVos (L) attempts to speak May 10, 2017 at Bethune-Cookman University with school president Edison O. Jackson (R) at her side.

This is not the first time DeVos has received a rude reception. Back in February, left-wing protestors channeled their inner Orval Faubuses and prevented her from entering Jefferson Academy in Washington, D.C.

The students at Bethune-Cookman were likely fed a diet of lies and half-truths from their professors about DeVos’s efforts at school reform. For example, back in November, New York Times op-ed contributor Douglas N. Harris cited a study that supposedly showed “Detroit’s charter schools performed at about the same dismal level as its traditional public schools.”    more

  1. The protesters didn’t have a clue who she was, where she was from or what she has accomplished.

    They were protesting a White Person at their commencement, of this I have no doubt.

  2. Why would any smart, wealthy, decent person want to put themselves in a situation like this, to be insulted by yahoos? Ignorant, disrespectful yahoos? The shame of it is that these morons, and their professors, would welcome and cheer the likes of Shelia Jackson Lee, Maxine Waters, even Al Sharpton and their ilk.
    What a shame.
    .

  3. If I had been the president of the university, after reminding the students that Ms. DeVos had been invited, if the continued booing or turning their backs, I would have picked one out, asked them to come up on stage, and I would have torn up their diploma in front of them, told them to leave the ceremony, and then I would have sat back down. I suspect at that point you would be able to hear a pin drop.

  4. The crowd of liberal black graduates and their families are bond by ignorance and fear. It takes courage to seek the truth beyond the lie these people have believed for generations and that, they do not have. Mr. Jackson’s foresight to bring the truth to this corrupt and ineffective “educational” institution was a valiant effort. Unfortunately, an effort in vain. Black liberals are comfortable being treated like children by the State. They are too afraid to take responsibility for the own destinies.

    DeVos sees the writing on the wall. As a patriot who loves her country, she knows how true is the following statement;
    “I know no safe depository of the ultimate powers of the society but the people themselves, (A)nd if we think them not enlightened enough to exercise their control with a wholesome discretion, the remedy is not to take it from them, but to inform their discretion by education. This is the true corrective of abuses of constitutional power.”
    Thomas Jefferson

    DeVos should be commended and encouraged to fight on as this quote suggests;
    “These are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of his country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.”
    Thomas Paine.
    Many black Americans are beginning to see what’s at stake. The question may be is it too little, too late? For the sake of us all, I pray not.

  5. Not complicated. Just stop all the “helping” these parasites. Its become a generational scam. You only create more of these angry scum. You are now on your’e own. Don’t work and produce, don’t eat.
