Female Engineer Is Fired After Calling Out Tesla

(NEWSER) – A female engineer who said she endured sexual discrimination and harassment at Tesla is out of a job. The company has fired AJ Vandermeyden over the complaints, reports the Guardian. Tesla hired an outside attorney to investigate Vandermeyden’s accusations, per Business Insider, and concluded that she was lying and thus unfit to work at the company. Vandermeyden’s attorney, however, says the firing is blatant retaliation and plans to file a formal complaint with the state to that effect.

Vandermeyden started working at Tesla in 2013 and says she was paid less than her male counterparts and unjustly passed over for promotions. She also alleges the company tolerated catcalls and abusive language. She filed suit and went public with the allegations in an interview with the Guardian in February.  More here

  1. I hate to say this but Tesla did what they needed to do. The allegations stood unproven, in fact referred to as lies by an independent investigation by an outside company. They really had no other choice after she went public with her allegations while still employed by Tesla. On the other hand maybe Musk is anticipating the coming cutbacks when Trump starts cutting off government money and tax breaks.

    Besides, Tessa is a phony company making unwanted products only alive from government subsidies soon to dry up. Musk is a fraud who will soon disappear up his own asshole.

  10. TESLA should be FIRED and forced to pay back every taxpayer dollar of gov’t subsidy that they have ever received.
    The Justice Department should aggressively pursue and prosecute all those who dismissed her claim without investigation and proof.
    THAT’S THE LAW

    It was promulgated and legislated by the LEFT.

    But you’re not supposed to use it against the LEFT.

  12. Maybe I’ve been lucky, every engineer (100s) I’ve known has been meticulous, straight forward, pretty dull and very honest.
    I’d give her the benefit of the doubt versus a law firm attorney “hired by” Tesla.
    All said and done, I trust engineers much more than attorneys or those who scam government out of funds.

  13. She is pretty homely looking, but Tesla is a company run by a libtard, so it’s ok to fire her. If she had worked for Fox, then everyone would have been fired but her.

  14. Sorry, the ladies gave been screaming about wages, discrimination, harassment a tad too much lately. Makes me inclined to not believe her side of the story.

    Actually, the “million woman march” with the pussy hats sealed the deal. They have zero credibility in my book. If they do not have video evidence and 5 witnesses I am going to assume they are lying or just whining.

    America is the best nation on Earth for women so if you cry wolf you get ignored.

  20. Got here late, but I’m assuming this took place in California. If you utter the words “Hey Baby” to a female employee or co worker that’s sexual harassment. It’s been that way for a long time.
