First Female Presidential Helicopter Pilot Fired Over Assault Arrest

DailyCaller:

The first female presidential helicopter pilot has been fired from command of her current squadron after she declined to report to her chain of command that she was arrested for assault.

Marine Corps Lt. Col. Jennifer Grieves, who served as the first female officer to command Marine One in 2009, was removed from command of Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 464, “due to a loss of trust and confidence in her ability to continue to lead,” Task & Purpose reported Wednesday.

  1. The powers that be didn’t want this to happen.
    Too bad.
She sounds like a decent person, but the Marines don’t allow much laxity on their rules.
(I was going to make a joke about Give her a break – it was that time of the month – but was afraid that would just be too vile.)

  2. All she has to do is claim she identifies as a black, lesbian feminist transgender. All will be swiftly forgiven.

In the mean time…..down collective, aft cyclic, right pedal…….adjust attitude, airspeed, and RPM.

  3. Gee, that’s so sad … if she was a card-carrying member (in good standing) of the “White Patriarchy” she woulda been given a pass … I’m sure …

    izlamo delenda est …

  4. She has a pretty impressive record, starting out as enlisted, making it to Sergeant and then the officer ranks. She is considered a Mustang and damn good at what she does.

If she reported the assault, she would have been fired. If she did not report the assault, she would have been fired – a no win situation. $500 bail tells me the offense is extremely minor. Not something that should ruin her career. With this on her record, she is basically done as a Marine.

    Sad.

  5. My experience with MC Mustangers has been completely positive.
They know the enlisted and in my book hold the highest respect in the Corps.
They are more knowledgeable, experienced and apply strict adherence of Marine Corps Tradition and discipline. Hard Corps.

  6. She’s probably not a lesbian – they have perfect marriages and relationships to die for. Doesn’t sound like her relationship is perfect so it has to be to a man.
