New York City’s Democrat Mayor Bill de Blasio is under investigation for questions about his fundraising. As if that wasn’t bad enough, taxpayers will now have to pick up a two million dollar tab for his legal fees.

De Blasio now says City will cover $2 million of his legal bills
In a reversal, Mayor Bill de Blasio is now planning to allow the city to pay roughly $2 million to cover most of his outstanding legal bills related to multiple investigations of his fundraising efforts.
De Blasio made the announcement in a blog post on Medium on Friday morning, just before the Fourth of July holiday weekend.
“A large portion of the bills — around $2 million — relate directly to my public service and decision-making in government,” de Blasio writes in the blog post.
The cancer has metastasized. A politician can break the law and then use public funds to buy the best lawyers in town to defend himself. How about, if you can’t afford an attorney use the public defense attorneys the city already is paying for?
This is the kind of excrement that lead to a revolution in the first place.
My lack of pity for the New York taxpayers just cannot get any lower. Waaaa, waaaa, sit down, shut up, you elected the bastard.

Fundraising is a political function outside of elected duties and responsibilities of Mayor.
De Blasio and his campaign committee are responsible for the legal fees, period. If the people, city and legislators allow this theft of taxpayer funds they are indeed fools and deserve to be ripped off by this corruption.
This criminal act should be defined as taxpayer extortion.
