  1. I imagine that when you call the cops to report anything, they have at the least the number you were calling from, and probably a lot more than that. The officers who spoke with the LGS owner, once they saw it was only an over-sized cardboard sign, should have then visited the callers to warn them about wasting police time.

  2. YGBFSM! MENTAL DISORDER!!

I’LL NEVER FORGET CHECKING MY COLT .45 SAA IN AT THE FRONT DESK OF A HOTEL IN EL PASO- THE GIRL TURNED WHITE, THEN PICKED IT UP LIKE A DIRTY SMELLY DIAPER AND TOOK IT TO THE SAFE WITH THE LOOK OF PURE DISGUST!!! EL PASO!!! THE CAPITAL OF THE WILD WEST!! WTFO????!!!

  3. ThiS IS WHY I DON’T LIKE COPS.

ALL the people that call dispatch, just tell the dummies “It’s NOT a real gun fool! and BTW the 2nd Amendment is LEGAL and we aren’t going to harass this guy doing business, now get off the phone!”

NOPE, they can’t do their job, so they run down and tell a legal citizen doing legal things to stop, so the morons discontinue calling the department. Drrrrrr!

  4. Super Patriot

That’s not fair to cops pal. You’re talking Southern California here. I can site you example of Sheriffs departments and Poli e Departments telling people like this to F off.

  5. Weird. I hear shooting all the time where I live. Only called the cops once. When it started at 11pm and seemed to be mobile. It seemed odd to me.

Officer called me back and we agreed it was probably a guy with a new toy or a new night vision scope. Like I said, the fact that it seemed to be mobile and that late at night was a tad troubling.

Otherwise shooting is pretty much a regular thing.

  6. Where I lived in Southern Illinois I had friends over every Saturday to shoot pistols, carbines & Shotguns at my small range for training, practice and good competitive fun. Did it for years, never a complaint (my neighbors were like minded, even though they lived 1/2 mile away).
Each year So. Illinois hosted the River to River Race where running teams from far and near ran a relay race from the Mississippi River to the Ohio River on country roads near or through state and federal forests.

Their running route brought them right next to my property.
Some one called the Sheriff saying multiple gunshots were heard and they didn’t know where they were coming from.

The Sheriff (respectfully) called and told me what they said, I told him these limp wristed runners from Chicago should be used to hearing gunfire and they shouldn’t be concerned where the shots were coming from, they should be concerned where the bullets were going.

The Sheriff agreed and said these folks don’t live in that part of Chicago, it makes them nervous and asked me if I would postpone the remaining morning practice for 2 hours until the teams had moved further down the route. He said he personally didn’t care if I stopped or not but he would appreciate not getting any more phone calls from people that show up two or three days a year and all they do is whine and bitch.
As a favor to the Sheriff, I complied with his request. Each year the Sheriff would give me a call the day before and renew the request. I built an excellent report with Law enforcement and they appreciated it. On any given Saturday they may show up to practice and a little friendly competition.
