Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ) has become the laughingstock of the nation over the last 18 months. It may be the embattled governor, though, who gets the last laugh, if a strange series of events comes to pass this year.
Politico released a story on Thursday noting that Christie may be in the position to appoint a successor to Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ), if New Jersey’s senior senator ends up leaving his position over corruption charges he’s facing.
The kicker? Some observers believe Christie may appoint himself. MORE
