Hannity: Senator Susan Collins found herself in hot-water Tuesday after her private conversation with a fellow lawmaker was picked up on a hot microphone; body-shaming GOP representative Blake Farenthold and calling him “unattractive” and “fat.”
Sen. Collins was speaking with democratic Sen. Jack Reed when a live microphone picked up their hushed conversation. The two lawmakers were discussing Rep. Farenthold’s challenge to Collins earlier in the week, where he jokingly challenged her to a “duel” for her opposition to the republican healthcare legislation.
“Do you know why he challenged you to a duel?” Reed asked Collins. “Because you could beat the s*** out of him first,” he quipped.
Collins then attacked the representative over his appearance and size.
“Well… fat guy. He’s huge,” Collins said. “He’s so unattractive, it’s unbelievable. Did you see the picture of him in his pajamas next to this bunny… this Playboy bunny?” she asked.
The feed was abruptly cut when it became obvious the Senators’ comments were being broadcast on the subcommittee’s official broadcast.
