Professor Fired after Saying Hurricane Harvey Was ‘Instant Karma’ for Pro-Trump Texas

Breitbart: A university professor was fired after he said Hurricane Harvey was “instant Karma” for Texas after voting for President Trump.

Kenneth L. Storey, a professor at the University of Tampa, tweeted out a statement via Twitter which read: “I don’t believe in instant Karma, but this kinda feels like it for Texas. Hopefully this will help them realize the GOP doesn’t care about them.”

After Storey’s tweet began to pick up traction on social media, he deleted the statement and released an apology, where he said, “I deeply regret a statement I posted yesterday. I never meant to wish ill will upon any group. I hope all affected by Harvey recover quickly.”

But, as the Tampa Bay Times reports, the apology was not enough for university officials who decided to fire Storey.

“We condemn the comments and the sentiment behind them, and understand the pain this irresponsible act has caused,” University spokesman Eric Cardenas told the Tampa Bay Times. “As Floridians, we are well aware of the destruction and suffering associated with tropical weather.”  more

  1. Finaly , A School With Common Sense and The Balls To Be Honest !
He’s a Big Goofy Professor, And Disidence Is a Gaurantee That Hairy Ass Lib’s Will SEX Him !!!
It Could Be That Simple, Chose the Side that Get’s You Laid Alot !!!

  2. UT is a 12th rate institution. Most of the faculty are transfers from another college where they failed to get tenure. The administrators are also collectively losers. Remember, a fish rots from the head. So, it goes from president to provosts to deans, to faculty frauds.
Nevertheless, they do have an exceptional girls soccer team.

  3. The idea of someone that stupid teaching is an example of how the left has insidiously burrowed into the educational system. How many minds has he poisoned before he was finally booted?

  4. Uh, no, professor. Americans don’t find your tweet painful — that’s a claim the Left would make as they scurry for their safe spaces and “service animals.” What we feel is indifference to you. Christians don’t believe in karma; divine retribution, perhaps, but not karma. If we paid any attention to you at all, our response is anger that someone in the public trust — and one molding the lives of young people, especially — is a thorough nut case and a foolish, immature adult. So save your self-serving apology for your Twitter friends, colleagues and employers.

And now that you are unemployed, get your butt over to TX and help with the clean up.

  5. The dumb-dumb doubled down on his first tweet and narrowed it to GOP voters in Texas, then tried to take it all back when he realized he was in trouble with his school.

It’s amazing there are aren’t more like this guy.

  6. “Karma’s a bitch”, eh?

The weaselly self righteous insincere quasi-corrections. Textbook Lefty behavior.

Good. We will see more of these firings. Even inside the bubble of academia, they can sniff that the winds have changed.
The smarter among the Left are beginning to sense that a Great Purge is coming.
And it will be a MAGA Purge.
The exact opposite of the Lefty totalitarianism they had planned.

  7. Like Kathy Griffin, she’s not sorry for holding a bloody head of Trump, she’s only sorry her ability to make some money has been hampered by her stupidity. The professor is only sorry that he lost his job because deep down he really meant what he tweeted. I’m enjoying watching these liberals take it in the shorts and showing everyone just who they are.

  8. I would love to see bikers for Trump go down to Florida and escort this rainbow boy back to eh-hole land where he was spawned by something wicked.

He needs to be banned from ever setting foot in this country again.

  9. I like the photo of him with his girly drink. It’s really appropriate. The left is comprised of beta males and prom rejects eaten up with jealousy of their superiors in the center and the right. The hateful losers carry chips on their shoulders the size of Mt. Everest.

  10. Actually, residents of Harris County, home of Houston, cast over 150,000 more votes for Hillary than they did for Donald. If God has a hard on for anybody, I would be more inclined to think it would be for Sheila Jackson Lee and her ilk.
