‘Memo to Breitbart Readers: Uber HATES You (a Lot)’

My take on this- Breitbart, as well as other news sites, have been reporting about Uber drivers’ criminal activity, the infighting, and firings inside Uber. And I’m pretty sure that because Breitbart is pro-Trump,  Uber  is suffering butthurt upon butthurt.
Maybe Uber should handle its own personnel business and not worry about Breitbart?

Breitbart: Ride-sharing company Uber has demanded that their advertisements be removed from Breitbart News claiming that they want “nothing to do with” the website.

Uber demanded that any advertisements for their app be removed from Breitbart News earlier this year. However, Uber is now claiming that the advertising agency used to publish their ads on the internet continued to publish Uber ads on Breitbart. Uber filed a lawsuit against the advertising agency Fetch in a California court on Monday for failing to remove the advertisements from Breitbart.

An Uber spokesperson claimed, “Fetch was running a wild west of online advertising fraud, allowing Uber ads on websites we wanted nothing to do with.” It seems that Uber is so determined to remove their advertisements from Breitbart that they do not want readers of one of the most popular websites on the Internet as customers.

Ironically, Uber themselves have been the subject of a number of lawsuits, including multiple sexual harassment lawsuits and an investigation that saw as many as 20 Uber employees fired from the company and another 31 placed in counseling.

Shortly after this, Uber’s then-President of Business in the Asia Pacific, Eric Alexander, was fired for sharing the medical records of a customer in India who was raped by her driver in 2014. Alexander reportedly obtained the victim’s medical records while in India and shared them with CEO Travis Kalanick and V.P. of Business Emil Michael.

Uber is also under criminal investigation over the company’s alleged use of “Greyball” software, which reportedly allowed Uber to hide cars from regulators and law enforcement.

  1. It is another of those megla-middleman companies.
They bill themselves as the largest ride sharing company, and yet they own zero vehicles. They just wrote an app, and then suck off the profits of other’s efforts.

  2. You get what you pay for. I’ve never heard of Yellow Cab drivers accepting rides and then not showing up, or raping customers, or throwing people out on the street when they didn’t agree with their political views.

But I have heard about it with Uber.
