Politicians are organizations. Nancy Pelosi Inc. will keep on chugging as long as it can keep Nancy Pelosi’s corporeal shell propped up. As interaction between officeholders and the public becomes more electronic and less physical this will get easier and easier. Soon we’ll be electing “people” who never existed at all.
