DC: Joule Unlimited, a secretive green energy company that appears to have placed a big bet hiring Democratic insider John Podesta to its board, appears to have been doomed when former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election.
When the 2016 presidential election ended, senior company executives admitted the prospects for their renewable energy “biofuels” company evaporated. “We had a lot of prospects last year,” former Joule CEO Brian Baynes told BioFuels Digest in a rare interview in July. “But those new investor prospects walked away, particularly post-election.” read more
Proving once again, most green companies cannot compete in the free market without some sort of subsistence from government.
And proving, once again, that big money political donors are expecting quid pro quo from those to whom they donate. Policy for Sale.
Yet another leftist flim flam goes tits up thanks to Trump.
“We had a lot of prospects last year …”
For plundering the Treasury.
If this were a viable (economically, commercially, or scientifically) company, it would make no difference who was in office.
It only makes a difference as to how much can be stolen from the taxpayers.
Thus is it with all “green” companies.
izlamo delenda est …
I’m so sorry for your loss Joules.
heh heh heh
You are exactly right Tim.
The technology just ain’t there yet.
OIL-GAS-COAL-NUKE is still the way to go.
Does anybody remember Solyandra ???
Podesta is corrupt to the core. He and some other unethical scammer will soon find each other.
It was rebranded as Joulveniles Unlimited.
Still not tired of winning yet! OTOH the Energy Dept is ramping up a new round of green energy grants that need an extra fine comb before granting them.
Theft from taxpayers. Jail for all concerned . . . not.
Next up, or down, depending on your perspective, Tesla and the Musk Moonbeam.
Everyone said exactly what I was going to say, so I’ll just say: Ditto!
Can’t we call these green energy companies by their real name; money launderers.
By the way, there is room in this category for most NGO’s and quite a few charities (Clinton Foundation) too.
