Patriot Retort: The Islamic radical who mowed down pedestrians in Manhattan is a Uzbek migrant who entered the United States on a Diversity Visa in 2010.
Supposedly the Diversity Visa program is a lottery of sorts where people from obscure countries can throw their names into a hat in hopes of winning entry.
And these entries are not based on skills or economic benefit to the US. But instead based on “just because” in hopes of making America more diverse.
If Extreme Vetting is one side of the spectrum, the Diversity Visa program is way down on the other side.
And fifty thousand people gain entry through this supposed lottery every single year.
But after yesterday’s terrorist attack, I think it’s fair to say that the Diversity Visa program is less a lottery and more like playing Russian Roulette with Americans’ safety.
And whom do we have to thank for this?
None other than the senior Senator from New York Chuck Schumer.
The people murdered in Manhattan yesterday were, as Mark Steyn once put it, “human sacrifices on the Altar of Diversity.”
Nobody has a right to immigrate to the United States.
Immigration should be what is in the best interests of the country.
And tell me, how did we as a nation benefit from the entry of Sayfullo Saipov? Was it his advanced training in Uber-driving that made him so indispensable?
