Latest ICE Operation Snaps Up 100 Criminal Aliens In New Jersey

DC: Federal agents arrested more than 100 foreign nationals wanted for immigration violations in a five-day operation in New Jersey, Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced Tuesday.

The operation, led by ICE’s enforcement and removal division, netted a total of 101 illegal immigrants who were either criminal aliens, had illegally re-entered the country after being deported, or had an outstanding order of removal.

Immigration officials said 88 percent those arrested were convicted criminals and 80 percent of them had prior felony convictions for crimes including sexual assault of a minor, possession of child pornography and aggravated assault.

“The continued results of our Fugitive Operations officers and their law enforcement partners underscore ICE’s ongoing and steady commitment to public safety,” John Tsoukaris, field office director of ERO Newark, said in a statement. “As part of this operation, we continue focus on the arrest of individuals who are criminal and are a threat to public safety and national security.”

The New Jersey operation is the latest in a series of major operations by the increasingly aggressive immigration enforcement agency, that President Donald Trump has empowered as a part of his crackdown on illegal immigration. In a departure from the previous administration’s guidelines, nearly anyone illegally present in the U.S. is now subject to arrest and deportation, regardless of criminal history.  read more

  1. Fingerprint and EYE SCAN.

When they stop them at the border, scan ’em, and then no need for arrests or courts. Charge them right there, jail them, or stuff them into a van, and turn them right around and send them back.

  2. Tens of thousands on the public payroll who are involved in customs, immigration, ICE, the FBI, etc., etc., etc. Thousands and thousands more in all of law enforcement, including the judiciary. 100 or so illegals? How many dollars spent per illegal to round them up and get them out? Pricey.

  3. At the rate they are being deported vs the rate they are coming in, the US is going to be overwhelmed. Start jailing the employers whether they are hi-rollers or some guy getting his roof re-shingled. Grab them and no-bail jail them until trial. That’s the only way that work for illegals is going to dry up. When an illegal is caught he should be on his way out of the country the same day, any valuables to be seized and liquidated by the government with the proceeds (less government expenses) forwarded to him or her. Harden the laws and start shipping thousands out every day.
