10. Raj — the WH Deputy press secy — explained this a couple of times today regarding paying any money to Daniels. People settle suits all the time in court. It doesn’t mean anything except that Trump probably didn’t want the distraction during the height of the campaign. It goes against what Trump always says about settling, and he was probably talked into it by advisors. Now, since he made a payout, they’re using it to sow lies.
