44 Dems, Including Wasserman Schultz, Exempted Pakistani IT Aides From Background Checks

Daily Caller: Every one of the 44 House Democrats who hired Pakistan-born IT aides who later allegedly made “unauthorized access” to congressional data appears to have chosen to exempt them from background checks, according to congressional documents.

All of them appear to have waived background checks on Imran Awan and his family members, even though the family of server administrators could collectively read all the emails and files of 1 in 5 House Democrats, and despite background checks being recommended for such positions, according to an inspector general’s report. The House security policy requires offices to fill out a form attesting that they’ve initiated background checks, but it also includes a loophole allowing them to simply say that another member vouched for them.

Among the red flags in Abid’s background were a $1.1 million bankruptcy; six lawsuits against him or a company he owned; and at least three misdemeanor convictions including for DUI and driving on a suspended license, according to Virginia court records. Public court records show that Imran and Abid operated a car dealership referred to as CIA that took $100,000 from an Iraqi government official who is a fugitive from U.S. authorities. Numerous members of the family were tied to cryptic LLCs such as New Dawn 2001, operated out of Imran’s residence, Virginia corporation records show. Imran was the subject of repeated calls to police by multiple women and had multiple misdemeanor convictions for driving offenses, according to court records.  more here

  1. JFC… The fucking contracted janitors have to go through goddamn background checks. Why isn’t this cunt being frogmarched out of Congress right fucking now? FFS, I just hate how democrats get a pass on lawlessness constantly. They’re aiding spies right out in the open, and not a goddamn thing is being done about it.

  2. Any GOP candidate that’s running against one of these 44 had better make sure that in any debate they ask why they requested no security check be performed on this family. I would expect that no matter what the answer is the Republican can take full advantage of the Democrat incumbent and make them look like a fool.

    > One lies and the others swear to it.

A truth that seems lost on those insisting that the only way to prevent Party treachery, is to have the Party vouch for new members.

    > there should be minimum requirements and background checks for ANYONE who works directly or indirectly for the government, elected or not!

Performed by? Russia? Facebook (the “non”-government, government created, regulated, organization)? The Federal Reserve (the “non”-government, government created, un-regulated, organization)? Blank Reg (the guy who lives under the overpass, down by the river, whose biometrics don’t appear in any database)? Who will The Party agree to accept the word of, who will be allowed to disagree with the word of The Party?

  5. I vacillate between shaking my head and snickering. For context let me explain that I have failed miserably a couple of times at retirement. And in the last incarnation friend wife suggested that I needed to do something beyond parking my ass in front of the refrigerator and otherwise driving her bat shit crazy. So a couple of years ago I took a part time “security” job. Yeah, we’re really security monitors. If there’s a problem we might, perhaps, not sure, maybe make a phone call. So below is one of the subject titles from a recent HR e-mail.

“URGENT: Mandatory for all XXXXXX Associates Consent Agreements Background Re-Screen”

Yeah, we have state issued cards that already say we’re good to go, but they’re gonna go beyond this to fill in some more blanks, cross a few more “t’s” and dot an “i” or two. Because the state doing the ongoing checks and reissuing isn’t good enough as the work we do is so “critical.” As in the client being able to tell their insurance carrier that they have 24/7 coverage…

But the Feds, not so much…

    Makes perfect sense!

  6. I’ve said it before: if I give out so much as a customer’s phone number without their permission, I would lose my job.

This is “The Great Disconnect” that exists between Washington and the American Citizen. We actually experience the consequences of our choices and actions, and from our disregard for Law, whether through ignorance or intent.

  7. In politics there are NO COINCIDENCES, NO PARADOXES, and NO UNINTENDED CONSEQUENCES.

Everything that occurs in politics is preordained by the politicians – not by the positions of the stars, or by geological/seismological variations, or by fluctuations in the magnetosphere.

All one has to do is ask “Why?” and “Cui bono?” and the answer presents itself.

Politicians are liars by nature and will lie rather than relate facts, even about things of no (or little) import. If something more important, say, subverting a political party or the government, they will lie until the lies are so thick that even they can no longer decipher them.

That the Demonrat Party is an anti-American, anti-Constitutional movement is beyond any doubt, whatsoever. That the Republicrat Party is the Menshevik wing of the Demonrat Party is obvious to all but the more obtuse (or distracted).

Why America and Americans are so slow to gather this in is the real issue.
Maybe it’s just human nature to ride the slide into the abyss with abandon, hoping for a better destination than the one we clearly see ahead?

  8. The progressive movement, Marxism and militant radical Islam are ideological and strategic allies. Both are hell bent on destroying America, all three are enemies of all that is good. Progressivism, Marxism and radical Islam are religions of hate that are motivated by a calling to spread suffering, misery and death to innocent populations throughout the world.

Until this dynamic is accepted for what it is there can be no effective progress made toward reversing the escalating violence that resulted in hundreds of millions of innocent human lives lost in the last century.

All three not only reject the message of Christ, they are actively hostile to that message and yes in that I include the pseudo Christians whose only use for the message of Christ is as something they can use to spread and advance the cause of increasing innocent human suffering, misery and death here on earth and to go beyond that by condemning as many souls to an eternity in hell as they possibly can.
