Memories Pizza in Walkerton, Ind. became one of the first businesses to voice vocal support for then-Governor Mike Pence’s Religious Freedom Reformation Act in 2015, stating they probably would not cater a gay wedding if invited to do so. The statement received a massive negative onslaught from gay rights activist and the media as the restaurant’s Yelp page was flooded with negative reviews. In response, a GoFundMe account was set up for the business and retrieved some $800,000 in donations.

What a shame if that is the reason they have closed. Family businesses do generally have a life span. I hope that they closed because it was time to retire and enjoy some rest.
