Female child slave kept in Texas home of former African leader’s son for 16 years

FOX: A Texas couple allegedly kept a West African child as a slave for nearly 16 years, forcing her to take care of their children and clean their house without pay, police said.

Mohamed Toure and his wife Denise Cros-Toure, both 57, were arrested after a nearly two-year investigation into allegations that they kept a girl from Guinea against her will from 2000 until she was able to escape their Southlake home in 2016. Toure is the son of the first president of Guinea, Ahmed Sékou Touré, who ruled the country until his death in 1984, according to WFAA.

They were charged with forced labor. If convicted, the couple faces a maximum of 20 years in federal prison. MORE

  1. Why did his father die here in OH in ’84? And why is his son here? Why were they allowed in?

“Ahmed Sékou Touré (born January 9, 1922, died March 26, 1984) was one of the foremost figures in the struggle for West African independence, the first President of Guinea, and a leading Pan-African. He was initially considered a moderate Islamic African leader but became one of Africa’s most oppressive Big Men.”

  2. Slavery is allowed in the Koran especially if the slave is an infidel. I’m sure this is all a big misunderstanding, and I am sure this fine couple will be issuing an apology.
