American Thinker:The left truly is afflicted with the infantilized belief that life really is a small world after all. The ride itself, “It’s a small world” was the first multicultural act perpetrated on the American public before the Democrats made it cool. Before a ‘coexist’ bumper sticker was ever placed on a Prius, the idea that we could actually coexist across the cultural milieu by simply ignoring history was embedded in the 62-year-old ride. However, there never will be a servo motor moving a jihadi character on pistons in the small world, unless there was a roadside bomb underneath it as it waved to your children singing “Allahu Akbar” as the water dinghy carried you forward. But we can ignore that. It is a hell of a ride on its own, as it slowly picks away at your sanity.
Some childless adult friends of mine, all liberal, go to Disneyland every year like a way station between young adulthood and middle age. They consider their behavior quite normal, even into their early forties. For others who are more radical, like the pink genital hat-wearing crowd we saw recently after Trump’s inaugural, it’s almost a religious pilgrimage. I don’t see any of my conservative friends going without children of their own. It appears to be strictly a left-wing hajj. more
Wasn’t it back in “Mary Poppins” that the kid was pressed to give his three-pence to the bag-lady covered in pigeons as opposed to opening a savings account?
And the fukkin cricket told us that if we wished real hard our wishes would come true? Close your eyes and wish (real hard) and Tinkerbell would resurrect?
Now we have generations living on wishes, unicorn farts, and bull shit.
Sheesh!
izlamo delenda est …
When they find out how to burn water
And the gasoline car is gone
When an airplane flies without any fuel
And the satellite heats our home
But one of these days when the air clears up
And the sun comes shinin’ through
We’ll all be drinkin’ that free Bubble Up
And eatin’ that Rainbow Stew
Eatin’ Rainbow Stew with a silver spoon
Underneath that sky of blue
We’ll all be drinkin’ that free Bubble Up
And eatin’ that Rainbow Stew
Children of ALL ages. No magic in the hearts (?) Of conservatives. Smh.
Not to jack the thread… But was Tinkerbell always so big boneded in the thighs?
Tinkerbelle is a Kardashian? But seriously, everything about the Left is childish. Temper tantrums when they don’t get their way, inability to logically consider the likely consequences of their policies, name calling and bullying, and so much more.
I’ve lived in OC for many decades, have been to DL many times. I consider it a big, fat, expensive, bore.

Adults are expected to move beyond the make-believe state, Larry.
Liberals like to exclude themselves and pretend it’s a fairy-land. The result is adults who love Disneyland and idiot conventions like Comic.com.
I have gone (read, “been dragged against my will”) to Disney World on several occasions. Each time it becomes clearer that real Americans are avoiding this once-American vacation destination, as more and more non-Americans crowd in. Spend a few days (although one is sufficient) in Disney World, and you will see the “ugly American” trope believed by much of the world fade away, as foreigners invade the once-Magic Kingdom, bringing their own international flavor of rudeness.
1 Cor. 13:11 “When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things.” That’s the way it’s supposed to be, but not anymore.
A few facts about Disneyland:
Having worked at Disneyland, it is actually one of the more conservative business Segments in Disney. Many veterans work there, the VP that hired me was a chopper pilot in Vietnam. They rely on the experienced vets primarily in the maintenance / operations occupations and due to the pace of operations.
Most of the employees are from Orange County, one of the more conservative areas in California. Gay Days is despised by the employees (and dreaded, we were always warned prior to the event) and is not sponsored by the Park.
Disneyland is too busy running Disneyland, they have little interest or concern with the Walt Disney Company for the most part and working there is much different than working for Disney Corporate or Studios.
Most of the guests at Disney World are from other countries, most of the guests at Disneyland are from Southern California. It is a family tradition for many that continues throughout their life, married or not.
Bottom line: I’m not sure why the author of this story is trying to tie infantile behavior to Disneyland, he doesn’t understand the dynamic or his subject.
It’s a small-minded world.
If Tom Sawyer’s Island ain’t there no more, then forget it.
I also worked at Disneyland when I was in H.S. my last visit with the kids was 2 years ago.
Let me state categorically that the author of this article has his or her head stuck so far up their own ass they can taste boogers.
Easily the most hateful, lying bitter article I’ve read before lunchtime today.
I had a Disney Annual Passport every year from the time my son was a toddler until he outgrew Disneyland at about 8 years old.
Then again, look at how many ‘adults’ slobber over Hairy Potter.
One of the best things that happened was my 16 year old said “Can we go to the beach (Outer Banks of N.C.) this year instead of Orlando? It’s just the same old stuff anymore, Dad.”
I was glad as I know now I can die in peace as my job here is done.

You are both right. Disneyland is not a patriotic as when Walt was the boss – But it is the most patriotic part of WED!
My grandkids love to eat at GOOfy’s; and I am happy to spend big $ toes their faces! they have loved Buzz since it opened. We get in early and they run back to the entrance after they finish to ride again. Still do after 13 years; I have been amazed the last few years. Figured they’d out grow it – wrong!
In ’15 I saw every time I went (at least once a week – have big$ yearly pass) I saw at least 3 Trump T shirts. On Day I saw 4 in AdventureLand, 2 in TomorrowLand and 2 more in FantasyLand.
Are Trump folk libs? Get you head out of your ass! Jarheads are blunt
Theme parks are, IMO, on the downslope of the product life cycle curve. A few have already closed down, and sad views of their ruins appear once in a while on the internet.
I give theme parks 75-100 years more life, and that’s it. I grant that Tivoli in Copenhagen has been around for a lot longer, but it is a Danish heritage site, and may be around for another couple of centuries.
I see Disneyland and Disneyworld’s acreage turned into apartments before 2100. The way out for Disney is to create some kind of orbiting attraction.
Not a 62 year old ride. 54 yeas old. It premiered at the 1964-1965 NY Worlds Fair as part of the Pepsi Pavilion. I was there- I rode it. Still can’t get that friggin earworm song out of my head.
When the Fair closed in ’65, it was dismantled and re-assembled at Disneyland in Annaheim, then later copied for the other Disney parks.
