KFI: A New Jersey woman took out her frustrations with the cable company on a utility worker who was doing work on the cable lines in her neighborhood. Police say that 59-year-old Elena Gerlihman got into an argument with the Optimum worker and proceeded to turn off the power to his utility bucket, leaving him stranded in mid-air. She then “removed utility property from the truck and walked away.” more

That’s terrible.
I’ve had to shimmy down a few booms… but for a different reason.
Thought he was a girly man.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen an aerial truck that didn’t have an over ride valve to lower the boom.
I’m torn. It’s funny as hell, but also, I would have to look the other way if he were to make it down and then kick her ass. lol.
MJA, I’m laughing wit you.

Doc, in our ’63 we had “dead man” valves at the bottom, not the top.
Or, if we did have “top” valves, they didn’t work.
When the Onan died, and there was no “helper”, you were just stuck.

Did she promise to let him down sometime between 8am and 5pm?
Old PiCo’s line buckets didn’t have emergency lower. Anyone know what town in Jersey.
With what Optimum charges for their services, I don’t blame her – especially if her area is like mine where Optimum is the only available option.
Tard: “When the Onan died, and there was no “helper”, you were just stuck.”
Good thing the Onan didn’t just spill you on the ground.
Bongo- LMAO!!!
I had on old C60 with a 34′ lift (short I know). Had a starter switch for the Onan in the bucket, but my Onan was not the most reliable. Had to shimmy down a couple of times and use the “dead-man” it the bottom to lower it.
