White House Taps Ronald Mortensen to Run State Dept. Bureau Overseeing Refugees

The Left is NOT, I repeat, NOT HAPPY.

OAN: President Trump taps Utah’s Ronald Mortensen to head the State Department bureau overseeing refugees.

On Thursday, the White House announced Mortensen has been nominated to serve as assistant secretary of state for Population, Refugees and Migration.

He co-founded the Utah Coalition on Illegal Immigration, and has been an outspoken critic of the Obama-era DACA program.

The retired foreign service officer is a fellow at the Center for Immigration Studies.

He also served on the White House advance team for the 1986 Reykjavik Summit under former President Ronald Reagan.

Mortensen is now awaiting Senate confirmation.

SNIP:

Doing a little digging, I see he has written for Center for Immigration Studies.
He doesn’t seem to be a fan of illegal immigration.

PS. He’s not a fan of John McCain, either.
Welcome to the club!
