Twitter Targets Conservative Over Guns And Gender Tweet, Removes Photo For ‘Targeted Harassment’

DC: In an effort to protect their users from “abusive behavior,” Twitter has taken down Kaitlin Bennett’s pro 2nd Amendment photo sporting two pistols and placed her on a 12 hour ban.

Bennett, who is the Grassroots Director of Liberty Hangout, posted a photo to Twitter on Wednesday of herself holding two pistols behind her back with a caption that read “If I had a pistol for every gender there is. #2A #CampusCarryNow”

“When I woke up Thursday morning, I received a notification saying the post would be removed,” Bennett told The Daily Caller, “and that my features would be limited for 12 hours. During this time, I could not tweet or message anyone.”

Bennett says she also posted the photo to Facebook and Instagram, but it was only removed on Twitter.

“My immediate response was to laugh at the absurdity of it being considered targeted harassment, when all I did was take an innocuous photo with two pistols and state a scientific fact,” Bennett told TheDC.  MORE

  1. Ironic, considering the vile shit, including death threats, that typically get posted on Dana Loeschs and other pro gun females pages. Leftards are very evil creatures.

  2. I won’t admit defeat and leave Twitter. The left is losing their hold on many used-to-be lo info voters and the word is being spread via Twitter. This is our public square where they are being exposed to the truth.

Bad_Brad is right; this is the new battle field.

  3. I get the battleground argument but they have the cannons and our side is only allowed bows and arrows. Some big money is missing a great investment to give those clowns some competition I think a new platform would drive them into the ground.

  4. YOU may not “target,” but WE CERTAINLY DO!

Hypocrisy much? They cannot even discern their own hypocrisy – nor do they wish to do so – just as the anti-Bill of Rights-ists (?) would have THEIR armed thugs DISARM American citizens! They perceive no philosophical conflict – because their ends justify their means – or whatever means the Party advocates.

The Party is above the law – above all conscience – above all questions of morality, legitimacy, justice, and equity – and thus; the Central Committee of the Party, the Politburo, or the General Secretary of the Party (so to speak – or the Fuhrer) DEFINES morality, legitimacy, justice, and equality.

This is how they maintain their “sanity” through their multitudinous prevarications and conflicts of “rationality.”

You know they can’t be reasonable, don’t you?
    Their ideology precludes it.

    “Terminators” of civilization.

  5. Suggesting that a platform that applies an even handed approach to any given subject doesn’t preclude descent it simply allows both sides to be expressed. It’s difficult to be persuasive when your view isn’t allowed to be stated.

  6. Every great military commander understood that you never fight a battle on ground chosen and controlled by the enemy.
    You will lose.
A new platform that both the Right AND THE LEFT can use without fear of specious and arbitrary banning is the real solution.
Build it and they will come.

It’s Guerrilla Warfare, behind enemy lines. You need to do it in teams. Pig Pile the Libs. It’s fun.

  8. Brad, do you find any open minded libs on Twitter? I can see the value of communicating with someone that will in fact consider another perspective, but I can’t think of a lib that I know that can be persuaded. Maybe I should try harder.

Not necessarily Libs, but I run into a couple non gun owners that will start to see my point. I don’t think you can change a Libs mind. It’s the fence sitters we are after. I have had no confirmed success arguing the “Russia Collusion” crap with anybody.

  10. I believe that Twitter and Facebook are on track to becoming the Internet Explorers of social media. Just as IE is everyone’s favorite browser for downloading Chrome and Firefox, Twitter and Facebook will soon find themselves as little more than a user list for other sites.

    Close but no cigar.

The Scotch chose the battlefield at Agincourt ~ 700 years ago.. Had the French not pulled a Bonaparte; they may have won. But the French have historically marched to war hands folded on head. Most Of Charles’s family (other than his sons) fled within 15 min of the archers first, of hundreds , volley. I think it was the Laird of the Douglas Clan who told Charles we can beat the English here!

My favorite playwright – by far -tells 2 lies in Henry 5. I think they were both part of 17the century PC.
More English and Welsh were maimed/killed by the Scotch than by the French. Bill totally ignores the Scotch even being there. I am sure it was because the King of England when Bill wrote Henry 5 was Scotch! PC was not invented in 1952!
Henry was a brave warrior. So he had many “souvenirs” of war. He had been bladed in the face and had a scar either 3” or 4” on his cheek. The eye over the other cheek had been shot out by a crossbowman. I find it hard to believe that he could disguise himself so that the grunts did not know to whom they were speaking.

Bottom line. The general that picked the battlefield was crushed. Even though his men outnumbered the enemy by either 11:1 or 12:1.

French used the same excuse here as they would 400 years later at La Belle Alliance – “The ground was muddy and our horses could not get around!”! My French relatives still say they’d won both battles had it not rained. I say B S! You lost because you were J. Kerry like!

Agincourt was an exception, and there are others. But at Agincourt it came down to overwhelming firepower; the English archers with their longbows.

  13. Dang, hit send before I was finished…..
The archers trained every Sunday in every village from the time they were 12/13. By LAW.
The lesson learned is there is no substitute for training.

  14. “Twitter is the battle ground.”

Yes. And we need to make a stand on every front we can. We can’t fight back if we aren’t present, and we can’t open anyone’s mind if we don’t engage.
