“…make no mistake about it. This report is damning.”

Patriot Retort: The IG Report on the Clinton “Matter”.

As I’m sure you all know, the IG Report on the FBI and DOJ’s handling of the Hillary Clinton email investigation was released yesterday.

It’s over five hundred pages. I spent the morning reading it and so far am halfway through it.

It isn’t exactly a thrilling read. But that’s to be expected. After all, it’s a government report from a government bureaucrat. And those kinds of things aren’t going to read like a book by Vince Flynn.

But make no mistake about it. This report is damning.

And for that reason, I would encourage you to try and slog your way through it.

Here’s the LINK to the IG Report.

Now, I’m going to give you the same words of caution that Sundance did over at The Conservative Treehouse.

In fact, I’ll just quote what Sundance wrote:

Read, but don’t focus on, the “executive summary” or “conclusions”; those two sections were written by political administrators in FBI and DOJ leadership. Focus on the substance of the documented facts within the IG report. You’ll note the specific facts don’t support the “summary/conclusion”.

And I can tell you that after reading half of this report that Sundance’s advice is smart.

Now I’m guessing the mainstream news media, if they read anything at all, only read the Executive Summary and Conclusion.

That’s only a guess on my part. But I’d say that my assumption on that is 97% accurate.

Because let’s face it, the news media today is basically from the “Leak it to us or just give us the gist” school of journalism.

Effort takes too much time and, well, effort. So they’re not going to expend that kind of time and energy to read all 568 pages.

Relying on their observations is like believing someone who claims to be an expert on “War and Peace” when he only read the Cliff Notes.

You need to get into the meat of the IG Report yourself to really comprehend what it’s about.

Yesterday, the Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway did read the report. MORE

  1. The news media isn’t reading the report because they know there isn’t anything good in it. They raced to read Sarah Palin’s 24,000 emails overnight when they were released looking for the Ah Hah to get her. They got their biased summary and they are more interested in distracting away with stories about Manafort, lawsuits against the Trump Foundation, Trump making a joke today about wanting his people to stand at attention when he spoke or whatever else they can conjure up to ignore this report completely. I would’t be surprised if CNN told people it was illegal for them to read it like Wikileaks.

  2. If you begin to feel overwhelmed and baffled, as I sometimes do, just remind yourself that you’re dealing with Stalinists who want to overthrow us and destroy this nation. They are not Americans as we understand the term.

If you view everything that is going on within that frame, it all makes sense. Whether or not it makes you feel any better, that’s up to you

  3. So America will continue to slowly slip into the mire of the abyss, because the bums are protecting the bums in Washington from any real prosecution. They just can’t do it on their own. I’m giving up thinking that justice might somehow show up.

  4. Can someone tell me why it’s necessary to keep everything a big secret till everything is exposed at once?
I’ve heard of 30,000 sealed indictments but no explanations why no arrests. Nobody!
Put a few on trial then I’ll pay attention.

  5. I don’t think Sessions and Wray are on the same page I am.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions “real proud” of FBI Dir. Wray’s statements on critical IG report.

“We’re going to confront any problems, and we’re going to deal with them one-by-one…if we make a mistake, we’re going to confront it.”

  6. But, but, all the demonrat talking-heads are on tv saying nothing to see here, move along. Maybe their right, I’m not seeing what I want to see; firings, trials, convictions, long prison terms, or short lives shortened.

  7. Yeah Brad, you can only lay in weeds so long before people start wondering if you’re hiding instead of sneaking up. Maybe he is waiting for Horowitz to appear before congress before he springs his trap.

  8. The swamp runs deeper and swifter than anybody knows. Fire everybody in DC leadership and start over. I don’t care how many babies get thrown out with the bath water. This our Country and we need it back.

  9. Just look at the MSM furiously screaming both ‘Nah Uh’ and ‘Look over there’.
    It’s funny, telling and recorded.
They are not getting away with it anymore, not in this TimeLine.

  10. We kill over thirty thousand people every year on our highways for no purpose what so ever.

Ten people killed for very good reasons could and most likely would have a very positive effect on our national political health and direction.

Perhaps we actually do need some Russian collusion. They seem to grasp this issue far better than we do.

  11. Haven’t had time to slog through the report, but it sure would’ve raised my spirits had Wray come to the mic and said “we f’ed up and we’re putting our house back in order to earn the people’s trust”.
    Smarmy bastid.
Don’t know why Trump tweeted praising Wray today. IF Wray is sincerely a white hat, he’s in the wrong profession. Hollywood’s calling Chris.

Being exposed for your crime is one thing.

Being prosecuted for your crime is proving to be something else.

In our society, (a) is completely meaningless and fleeting without (b).

  13. From above: “But make no mistake about it. This report is damning.”

I like this turn of phrase. Damning, or the infliction of Damnation. Which if I remember correctly means a particular God is really pissed at you. Gonna’ send yer’ ass to hell he will.

But every single pronouncement of damnation I’ve witnessed has been delivered by one human directed at another human that they disagreed with. Seems to me they are putting words in God’s mouth. If someone were devout, seems that ought to scare the shit out of them assuming to speak for the almighty. Then again, most religion seems really weird and irrational to me, So maybe God farms out pronouncements of damnation and license to kill unbelievers (Islam) to her followers.

I ain’t on the mailing list, so I may have this wrong.

If you’re already killing thirty thousand for free, then how many should you be willing to kill to save the country?

Did you work out the numbers on the Iran deal?

  15. Seems this would apply, and says nothing about “intent”.
