One local trib here, the Klamath Indians sold out their tribal status in the 1960’s and 70s. Every member received hundreds of thousands of dollars and the tribe was dissolved. Until the casino craze took hold, then they wanted their tribe back, and they got it back. For free.
Beads are more expensive than in the 1800’s i guess.
