GW Bush Praises Nomination of Kavanaugh for Supreme Court: ‘Outstanding Decision’

WFB: Former President George W. Bush praised President Donald Trump’s nomination of Brett Kavanaugh for the Supreme Court on Monday, calling it an “outstanding decision” and praising Kavanaugh as a “brilliant jurist.”

Trump announced Kavanaugh as his pick to replace the retiring Anthony Kennedy Monday night at the White House. Kavanaugh worked in the Bush White House as an associate counsel, Staff Secretary and Assistant to the President. He was confirmed to the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals in 2006.

“President Trump has made an outstanding decision in nominating Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court,” Bush said in a statement. “Brett is a brilliant jurist who has faithfully applied the Constitution and laws throughout his 12 years on the D.C. Circuit. He is a fine husband, father, and friend—and a man of the highest integrity. He will make a superb Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.” more

  1. For what it is worth, I think the left will become even more unhinged in trying to block this nomination and encourage the “just walk away” movement even more. Chuckles Schumer has already weighed in with his talking points that Kavanaugh will mean the end of Roe v. Wade and the ACA; I am actually looking forward to Maxine Waters’ and Nancy Pelosi’s takes on this.

The fact that George W. Bush likes this nomination should unhinge these liberals even more.

  2. Shut up George, you and your family have done enough damage to this President with your family’s whining.
I defended you against all comers in your day, but your brand is the Uniparty.
    Fade away already

  3. Trying to get in the good graces of the voters who pay attention again. He and Jebby and Laura and their girls have done a lot of damage to their public persona.
    Not happening W.

  5. Whoa, whoa, whoa, stop this wagon train and find out Kavanaugh’s connections to the NWO. This is a giant signal he’s been compromised, maybe pedophilia, dead hookers, peter puffin, coke deals, something.

  6. Sotomayer was also nominated by George Bush; just like Kavanaugh. Are all liberal Presidents named Bush or are these 2 progressive judges just happenstance?

  8. I just thank God that Trump is making the pick. Had Hillary had these two picks plus Ginsberg would retire to open her own yoga shop giving Hillary 3 picks we would be on the road to having the Bill of Rights shredded before our very eyes.

  9. W *yawn* is actually bragging about his association with Kavanaugh. He thinks the Bush clan, “Pogressive big brains” provided the “right” pick for Trump, the so-called clueless outsider. What an elitist moron. Shut up, W.
