Atlanta Airport Spent $4 Million On Dog Bathrooms

WRKO: Last summer, seven dog bathrooms were installed at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. One Service Animal Relief Area was built in each concourse of the major airport to comply with the American with Disabilities Act. The bathrooms are fully equipped to ensure comfort and cleanliness for service animals and their owners.

They feature a concrete and grass turf area for dogs to do their business and they provide biodegradable pet waste bags to make clean-up easy. There is also an overhead shower hose in case your dog needs a quick rinse before you board your flight.   more here

  1. Atlanta airport is a hellish place. Most of the terminals have narrow corridors and no people movers. You constantly have to avoid running into other people as you navigate from one terminal to another.

Dogs probably like it more than humans. Are they putting in fake fire hydrants? What about attendants to clean up? What an entry that would make on some poor slob’s resume: Dog Bathroom Attendant, Atlanta Airport.

  2. Bullshit. It’s for the aggressive little nipper dogs. Little fuckers will take a finger or an ankle without hesitation. I can’t bring an 80 lb pitbull that is sweeter than a pill bug onto the plane, or the airport, or near the airport.
Meanwhile TSA lets these aggressive mini vice grips right on thru with the headscarfs.

  3. There is no difference between Mooselim behavior in a bathroom and that required for dogs, its just that dogs inadvertently do it while Mooselims have to work at getting it down the drain.
