Harry Sharp spent most of the last weekend of June sitting in front of his computer, trying resolutely to register his four newly banned guns on the California Department of Justice’s website.
The deadline to register his bullet-button assault weapons was June 30, and California’s online reporting system kept crashing.
Sharp said he managed to register his Steyr AUG, a bullpup-style rifle, on June 29, a Friday, but was unable to register his other three firearms despite the hours he spent trying.
“I got very little sleep that weekend,” said Sharp, a 52-year-old stay-at-home father and hunter from Redding. “I worked late on Friday, and on Saturday morning, I had a couple pops of coffee and kept going at it the whole day.” more here

Well pal, here’s the deal. There’s reports circulating that that DOJ has discontinued the “Assault Weapon” registration as of 7-11. CALDOJ confirms no such action. That was reported on the daily caller. The same groups supposedly responsible for this miracle show no such thing on their web sites. So I have no Fing idea, and I’m a Cali FFL. Here’s some shit that’s skating beneath the crap. Less than 6,300 “Assault Weapons” were registered. When is a law not a law? When nobody complies. And you can find those signs through out Cali. I can ell you if that law stands, there’s a shit load of Californians that are now Felons.
PS, haven’t had a chance to get back to you but I like my Glocks and 1911’s a lot. But I love my Single Action Armies. Got a few. Actually have one listed on my permit.

So, 10s of 1000s of gun owners are now felons. If caught, they will have the guns confiscated. Expect sting operations at shooting ranges, so no practice. No no, currently what needs to be registered is an evil black assault rifle. Commonly known to you and I as a modern sporting weapons. However Cali has a state approved drop down list for what handguns are legal to own/purchase in California. There’s not much left.
