Dem hopeful says ‘don’t lock me out’ of Alaska race just because she’s never stepped foot in the state

BPR:

[…]

“Don’t lock me out just because I’m not a homeboy,” she implored. “You ought to be thankful that I care enough and I’m interested enough and passionate enough to want to make things better. I’m certainly permitted to do what I have done.”

She certainly sounds like a Democrat

  1. Claims residency in NJ & SD, never been to Alaska. I suppose she considers herself a citizen of the world and plans on telepathically governing, or phoning it in like US congress.

Saw another pic on twatter, believe me this untouched photo must be the Olan Mills version. Same creepy, nutrient deficient vacant stare though. If she’s lacks concerned family members, hopefully a neighbor will call the cops for a Wellness check, Pronto.

  2. Who knows? She could win in Alaska. Remember how Murkoski lost the primary and allegedly won on a write in ballot where voters had to have ignored the Republican candidate to write in Murkowski (not the easiest name for people to remember to properly print in the write in space on the ballot).
Why would people who did not vote for the pro abortion RINO in the primary when all they had to do was mark her name, but would go out of their way to print out Murkowski?

  3. Well, bless her heart. I hope she wins the nomination. She can’t possibly do any worse at actually representing the interests of the residents of Alaska than establishment Republicans do at representing the interests of the people who cast their vote for them.

  4. She is a test case to see whether Dems can pull this off elsewhere. Congresscritters don’t really represent their districts any longer. That is a quaint Norman Rockwell vision of a past that never was. They are merely elected in a district. They represent their party ideology.

  5. gee …. just like little Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez …. she ain’t from the Bronx, but that don’t stop her either

… it’s a demonRat thing … the rest of us just don’t understand

  6. There are two things Alaskans loathe: People from Outside (yes, capital O) telling us how to run our affairs and people from Outside acting on the ignorant idea that whatever works where they live will work here. It has been tried before; it failed miserably before.

I hate to admit it, but Alaskans have a chauvinistic streak. We’ve been criticized for it many times but it serves us well in instances such as this, which is nothing like the “Trump will never be president” claims. Our state is very red and she’s a backwards liberal. It’s not like Clinton aiming for New York, where the leanings at least matched. This woman is an Outsider AND completely mismatched to our leanings. On top of that, she says she has no intention to come here or campaign here. It’s a non-starter.

  7. Her druggie son did the exact same thing TWICE. He ran as a Republican in Hawaii in 2016 and as a Democrat in Oregon in 2018.

Look up Eric Hafner. He is from New Jersey but has no fixed address because he’s on the run from the law. What a family.

  8. Ha! I looked up the ADN article on her and she says she “feels a kinship” with Alaska. Yeah, so much kinship she can’t be bothered coming here.

There’s an old example of standardized testing that included a question about how people are transported to the hospital in an emergency situation, and neither helicopter nor airplane were possible answers. These are the kinds of questions Alaskan kids – especially Bush kids– get wrong because test writers living in Miami or DC are clueless about life here. We had our own version of this when my son was being tested as part of OT when little. One wrong answer was because he didn’t know what thunder and lightning was. (It’s extremely rare here.)

Even the storms Hefner references show she has no idea what she is talking about. We don’t have storms that are seasonal the way other areas do with hurricanes. Yes, we have bad winter weather but #1 it isn’t always destructive and #2 half the time it’s worse on the East Coast. Our big deal is earthquakes: We have multiple quakes every day, but they are small, often going unnoticed. The big guys don’t happen every year like hurricanes.

I can only imagine her stance on 2A. I didn’t see it mentioned, which is probably because she’s a gun grabber, a sure way to lose in Alaska.

Sorry about the rant, guys, I just loathe people who act like they know us better than we know ourselves.

  9. Prog are all the same- without a score card you an not tell 1 from the other; ie lefty raised in Mich; lived most of his adult life in Mass now wants to be a Sen from Utah. and I’ll bet he leaves the C off of hutzpah!

All lefties are similar – regardless of their party!
