Lunacy On The Left: Ocasio-Cortez’s Gaffes, NYT’s Homophobia, and More

Liberty Nation:

Welcome to the next installment of “Lunacy on the Left” where Liberty Nation highlights the published comments and arguments made from the left-wing point of view on the issues of the day. Each week, we will showcase the opinions of the leftist establishment media outlets, Democratic politicians, and other prominent figures on the left. In short, we’re going to wade through the morass of leftist lunacy, so you don’t have to.

This week, we saw many different examples of leftist lunacy in the news. The Democrats’ new star, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a self-proclaimed democratic socialist, made a series of gaffes that showcased the ignorance of many left-wingers when it comes to socialism. A left-leaning organization attempted to smear Brett Kavanaugh — President Trump’s nominee for the Supreme Court with #MeToo-style accusations. A Los Angeles-based business owner was ostracized for his pro-Trump views. Last, but not least, The New York Times revealed their underlying homophobia.

It’s been an interesting week, for sure.

The Left Tries To #MeToo Judge Kavanaugh

The left mobilized to oppose President Trump’s Supreme Court nominee before they even knew who he had chosen. Once he announced Kavanaugh’s nomination, they went into a frenzy, claiming that the new nominee would roll back Roe v. Wade and prevent Trump from being indicted for nonexistent crimes. Since they realized that their hysteria would not make a difference, they decided to take a new course of action: False claims regarding sexual harassment.

UltraViolet, a far-left group that is affiliated with the #MeToo movement, claims that Kavanaugh is guilty of covering up sexual harassment.  The Supreme Court nominee previously worked under 9th U.S. Circuit Judge Alex Kozinski from 1990 to 1991. Judge Kozinski’s office had a long history of being a toxic and dangerous environment for women,” said Karin Roland, the chief campaigns officer for the group. “The American public deserves to know what Kavanaugh saw and heard, and if he did witness or hear about any harassment, what he did or could have done to report it.”

Kozinski resigned last December because 15 women accused him of sexually harassing them. UltraViolet contends that Kavanaugh knew about his former boss’ conduct and did nothing. Of course, they have provided no evidence that Kavanaugh knew anything about the harassment. Unfortunately for UltraViolet, several people have stepped forward to defend Kavanaugh.  more here

  1. Happy to have the daily bombardment condensed, the rational mind can only absorb so much before you glaze over. The realization that we’re surrounded by such a vast ocean of stupidity can darken your day.
Like alcohol, it must be consumed with moderation.

  2. the Democrats’ brilliant new tactic: “If we cannot find anything bad that he did, then let’s make up something good that he didn’t do.”

Is Jim Jordan in prison yet?

Seriously, Dems. That tactic is not ever gong to work. But knock yourselves out trying.

  3. I don’t read the NY Times, so maybe I’m just blowing this out my . . .
It seems to me that the terms “NY Times” and “homophobia” go together like, as my football coach used to say, “…hamburger and motor oil.”
I would think the NYT building is so full of fairies that it “floats” on its foundation.
    Am I wrong?
