Texas: The big ‘problema’ with Beto

AT: As happened with Miss Wendy Davis, the 2014 Democrat candidate for governor who lost by 20 points to current governor Greg Abbott, Democratic Senate candidate Mr. Robert O’Rourke will have to tell Texas where he stands.

His magical ride, paid for by lots of money from outside Texas, will sooner or later end up in a debate with Senator Ted Cruz.  We are expecting that Senator Cruz will expose the congressman from El Paso as a man a lot closer to Senator Sanders than President Trump.

This is from Gromer Jeffers, Jr. of the Dallas Morning News:

Here’s a sampling of how O’Rourke is different from Republicans.

  • He’s against building a wall to keep immigrants from illegally crossing the southern border, and supports a path to citizenship for the millions of people in the country without authorization.  MORE

  1. Beto is a Communist like Focohantus Elizabeth Warren.
    Typical liberal bullcrap.
Open the border so all the illegals can come in here and vote for the Democrats. All Democrats are SOCIALISTS now. Yeah,,Communists !!!

  2. Bugs me that this tool calls himself “Beto”. It’s a nickname that OTHER people use. You don’t call yourself “Beto”. That’s like calling yourself “Pal” or “Buddy”.

Plus, it’s my actual nickname. Given to me by some very grumpy and anti social people. So the context is cool.

I dunno’, just kinda’ shocked the guy is so preppy lookin’.

  3. @Different Tim and Aaron Burr, “Beto” is a common Spanish nickname for Roberto, and all the other nombres masculino that end in “berto.” I don’t think he’s Latino, but dad was a judge, so maybe a Mexican Nanny gave him the nickname. I have a cousin that we call Beto and I like it!
Not a Cruz fan (Although I did send his campaign a donation. Before I found out he’s CANADIAN and a swamp tool); but I do hope this guy loses.

  4. Texans ain’t stooped. We can see Beto for what he is. Yes, Beto has raised a lot of money from out of state liberals, primarily from California. I’ll bet Sorus has figured out a way to give him some cash too. Beto will carry some of the larger towns like San Antone, Dallas, Austin and probably the valley too, but I don’t think he’ll carry Houston where Cruz is fairly strong. Cruz’s strength is in the rural parts of Texas where a deep hatred of liberals is obviously evident. Due to the sheer size of Texas there are many more rural voters than city slickers. I would not worry too much about Cruz, Beto is out of his league.

  5. He got the name before kindergarten. I get that it’s a Mesikin’ nickname…it’s just…. who the fudge calls themselves by their baby name?
Who calls themselves by their nicknames?

    You know… besides rappers.

If I was interviewing this guy for a job, I’d use his real name. Like an adult. If he said “call me Beto” that would be a deal breaker for me. It’s a name used when you have affection or friendliness for someone. You can’t force someone to like you right off the bat. It’s psychological manipulation.

Fuggin’ bog trotter culturally appropriating Mesikin’ slang. Hate him so much now…..
