DC: The New York Times published an article suggesting tennis star Roger Federer’s U.S. Open defeat was not the result of being bested by Australian John Millman, but instead because of man-made global warming.
“Roger Federer Is Tough to Beat. Global Warming Might Have Pulled an Upset,” reads the headline of The Times’ analysis of why, in this case, weather is the same thing as climate.
Millman defeated Federer on Monday night in a fourth-round upset. It’s the first time Federer lost to an opponent not ranked in the top 50 — so, obviously there must be some larger explanation, like a changing climate.
After the loss, Federer said the hot, humid weather in New York City made him feel he “couldn’t get air; there was no circulation at all.” An enterprising Times reporter extrapolated that into an explanation of why hot summer weather could really be the product of global warming.
Times climate reporter Kendra Pierre-Louis suggested Federer’s comments about the hot, humid weather after his defeat made him “an unwitting spokesman for the effects of climate change.” read more
More like Left-made global whining.
I think it has more to do with the incorrect alignment of the stars on the Center line of the ecliptic. His horroscope probably said:
Today is not a good day for winning tennis tournaments.
Both players on the same court under same conditions. Apparently Global Bullshit is selective in whom it affects.
That’s a claim some idiot would make after he wagered it all on a stupid bet.
But that suits leftists to a tee. Congrats idiots at NYSlimes, your credibility is long, long gone.
Talk about unwitting…
Must have been The Midnight Sun…
It’s never been hot in New York in September before!
John Millman, got a surprise assist because of man-made global warming.
Same logic.
Same Bullshit!
Weird that it was only hot and humid around Federer and not his opponent?
Just when you think there’s nothing new left for them to blame on “global warming”…
Maybe that’s a contest, what will be blamed on GC next?
Center of Gravity???
