John Kerry Meeting With Iran to Salvage Nuke Deal With Rogue Diplomacy

WFB: Former Secretary of State John Kerry disclosed that he has been conducting rogue diplomacy with top Iranian officials to salvage the landmark nuclear deal and push the Islamic Republic to negotiate its contested missile program, according to recent remarks.

Kerry, in an interview with radio host Hugh Hewitt to promote his new book, said that he has met with Iranian Former Minister Javad Zarif—the former secretary’s onetime negotiating partner—three or four times in recent months behind the Trump administration’s back.

“I think I’ve seen him three or four times,” Kerry said, adding that he has been conducting sensitive diplomacy without the current administration’s authorization. Kerry said he has criticized the current administration in these discussions, chiding it for not pursuing negotiations from Iran, despite the country’s fevered rhetoric about the U.S. president.

Kerry’s comments are in line with previous reporting on his behind-the-scenes attempts to save the nuclear deal and ensure that Iran continues receiving billions in cash windfalls. These payments were brought to a halt by the Trump administration when it abandoned the nuclear agreement and reimposed harsh sanctions on Iran that have nearly toppled its economy and sparked a popular revolution.

Kerry said he met Zarif in Norway, Munich, and other international forums.

As Iran continues to plot terror attacks across the globe and transport weapons to regional hotspots in Syria and Yemen, Kerry has tried to help Zarif preserve the nuclear agreement with European nations.  more here

  1. The Logan Act (1 Stat. 613, 18 U.S.C. § 953, enacted January 30, 1799) is a United States federal law that criminalizes negotiation by unauthorized persons with foreign governments having a dispute with the United States.

After the mid-terms, have Sessions resign and after the first acts of the new AG, impaneling a special prosecutors to investigate Hillary et al., the FBI, the DOJ, NSA, CIA and Obama WH, is to have Kerry as the first person to be prosecuted under the Logan ACT. (And go after his kid and Biden’s as well for all the Chinese $$$$ hanky panky because of Mueller and crew messing around with Don Jr and Jared)

  2. ChristianPDX — You are right, of course. But pundits and congressmen have repeatedly stated that the last Logan Act prosecution was back in 1800’s (maybe I exaggerate, but they make it sound like it was so far back as to be irrelevant).

No matter the Logan Act, Kerry is clearly outside his authority to make any kind of agreement with anyone on behalf of the U.S. and where, dear God!, is the DoJ???!

Another perfect example of laws for thee but not for me. This all has to come to a screeching halt!

  3. Is John Kerry still getting residuals from Scary Movie 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5? Guess that Heinz 57 payout was worth it. Now there is a smart woman. Smarter, than voters not ever realizing this garbage Skulls and Bones, (Bushes 2nd cousin) “Hero” that discarded his phony medals for a self inflicted wound. At least “Homer” McCain yelled “WooHoo” when he broke his arms ejecting. Leaves a worse thought of Lennon and McCartney playing Monster Rain together.

  4. I would definitely revoke his security clearance, and (even if only temporary) suspend his passport while he’s ootc, and let him contemplate his sins. Kerry is a danger to this country and to let him behave recklessly when you can easily stop him is irresponsible.

  6. WTF is wrong with Hugh Hewitt; what a pitiful puff piece. Not one single tough question was asked. I think if they had been in person instead of on the phone, this could have ended up like McCarthy and Lennon in that dark room.

  7. Didn’t he pull this shit once before?
Back in the 70s, I believe … with another enemy of the United States?

I guess he’s never met a totalitarian tyranny he didn’t like!
izlam, communism, socialism, nihilism – whatever you call it – as long as it is anathematic to the Republic – as long as it fosters an unquenchable hatred for Liberty and Freedom – he’s all for it.

Why America tolerates him (and other traitors) is the real question.

    izlamo delenda est …
