CTH: Many column inches and media discussions surround the recently released “NEW” text messages and emails attributed to FBI Agent Peter Strzok. “NEW” revelations that show how the FBI was coordinating a “media leak strategy”; which essentially further evidences the level of corruption within the DOJ and FBI & weaponization for political motives.
However, there is a particular pattern and familiarity to these releases for those who follow the Administrative State, aka “Deep State”, within Washington DC closely. According to Sean Hannity (Friday broadcast) next week there will be several thousand more of these “NEW” messages released. [Up to 50,000]
Amid these latest developments is where we find the all-too-familiar pattern. Where exactly were these “NEW” emails for the past sixteen months? Who is releasing these “NEW” messages? Why? And why now?
According to Joe diGenova, there’s a seated grand jury ready to pounce on Andrew McCabe, James Comey, Rod Rosenstein, Peter Strzok and all the corrupt elements associated within “spygate” and “fisa-gate”. As the diGenova story is told, former FBI chief legal counsel James Baker has “turned states evidence”, and is now testifying to the grand scheme, etc. Exposing all those who participated.
Perhaps diGenova is right; perhaps all of those wonderful things are about to happen. However, I’m of a generally more cynical disposition after years of following these creeps. I hope diGenova is correct, but I fear he is fraught with misplaced optimism and/or bad information. Here’s why:
Will we ever get to the point that there has been enough evidence accumulated that someone actually gets charged with a crime?
While I agree with the timing, it smells like the lame stream media and their cohorts in the establishment are trying to subtly change the narrative to quash the impression that they have been in the tank for the demonrats and rinos agenda of open borders and cheap labor. If these emails are quietly “released” prior to Trump declassifying stuff,there won’t be a surprised NY Slimes readership wondering why all of a sudden what we’ve been saying for the past nineteen months has proven to be spot on.
Never underestimate the power of the establishment to land on its feet.
How many times have we heard “the walls are closing in” on the Obama/Clinton/Deep State leftist cabal? It’s now an eye-rolling turn-off at best. Anyone who continues to push that line risks losing credibility. Stop saying that and just let me know when indictments start going down.
I can almost guarantee that two years from now the entire investigation will wrap up with one or two low level government employees getting the blame and a slap on the wrist. The truly guilty, such as Obama, Hillary, Comey, Brennan, will skate like they always do. I hate being a cynic but there is and always has been a two tiered justice system in America.
Trump & Co. dribble bits and pieces out to keep it in the news. SO?!

The bits and pieces released so far show the LSM is complicit in seditious conspiracy – actively working with parts of the Gov’t (e.g. FBI, CIA, DoJ) to take part in subverting the Presidency. There’s NO reason they would *want* this sort of stuff out.

Czar, of course you make make good points. And I agree with you. My biggest concern is taking the midterms for granted. I’ve read a couple references about after the midterms, and 2019, or by 2020. We need to see some of the shit hit the fan before the midterms, not after.

It could well be the second time in (recent? if ever) history that a first mid-term Prez kept Congress. Not common, but then, neither is Trump…which it seems clear to me too many here seem to forget.

A “crime”? You mean like The Party deciding that the rules (written and, especially, unwritten) of The Party were not followed well enough? Absolutely! Who needs a slap? Give The Party the name, and The Party will decide of they need a slap.

I don’t know anything for sure except that POTUS Trump knew way back when that this country had been taken over by a shadow government made up almost entirely of administrators who have been embedded since who-knows-how-long, that elections have had little to do with changing anything of substance, and that he was stepping up to the plate to change all that. That’s all I know with any certainty.
Can he do it? Is the unelected Administrative State impervious to outside influence? If it is, can it be scuttled before the Left installs another Fellow Traveler as president or retakes the Congress?
I find that prayer is my answer.
@Czar–if you know what’s in there, it would only make sense that you control the timing of the release–not everything is dumped out on Friday afternoon. I’m on your side, but we’re fighting a bigger enemy than most people think, and if they are as embedded in the swamp as we know they are, how do we know that these aren’t being leaked with the blessing of someone like Rosenstein?
The narrative is not being shaped by our side, we’re reacting to it daily.
I wish it weren’t the case, but it is.
