Diver who helped with Thai cave rescue sues Elon Musk

WASHINGTON (AP) — A British diver who helped rescue youth soccer players trapped in a Thai cave is suing Tesla CEO Elon Musk.

Vernon Unsworth alleges that Musk falsely accused him on Twitter of being a pedophile.

The lawsuit filed in Los Angeles federal court seeks more than $75,000 in damages and a court order stopping Musk from making further allegations.

Musk called Unsworth a “pedo” after Unsworth criticized Musk in a television interview. Musk and SpaceX engineers built a small submarine and shipped it to Thailand to help with the rescue. The device wasn’t used, and Unsworth called it a “PR stunt.” Later Musk accused Unsworth of moving to Thailand to be with a bride who was about 12 years old.

Tesla did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

  1. I hoping he wins big. It would not surprise me if Musk is not a peadophile, one constant that I have recognized is that Utopian statists almost universally project their own perversions and criminal activities onto others and Musk is a big time statist.

  2. @WDS, Societal Dreg

That guy hasn’t taken a crap in the last two decades that hasn’t cost the taxpayers. And the establishment Republicans are every bit as guilty as Democrats in subsidizing the clown.

  3. I remember reading that when the nuke tests in Nevada were disturbing Howard Hughes’ sleep, he offered to underwrite the expense of those tests out of his pocket if they could be moved somewhere else.

Musk hasn’t accomplished a damn thing while bilking the taxpayer out of billions for his harebrained schemes. How times (and billionaires) change.
