Colorado: Meatpacker Cargill pays $1.5M to Somali Muslims who refused to work

This was not a prayer dispute, it was Muslim supremacists who were fired after walking off the job and demanding more sharia prayer time rather than doing the work they were hired to do.

A big U.S. meatpacker has agreed to pay $1.5 million to 138 Somali-American Muslim workers who were fired from their jobs at a Colorado plant after they were refused prayer breaks, a federal anti-discrimination agency said Friday.

Cargill Meat Solutions, a division of Minnesota-based agribusiness company Cargill Corp., also agreed to train managers and hourly workers in accommodating Muslim employees’ prayer breaks at its Fort Morgan beef processing plant, the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said.

Wichita, Kansas-based Cargill denies wrongdoing but agreed to settle to avoid further litigation, the federal agency said. The dispute dates back to the firings of the workers in late 2016 after management rescinded policies allowing Muslim employees to take short breaks for prayer.  MORE

  3. Well that was a fairly expensive experiment in cultural diversity. Islamist do not intend to integrate with Americans or any other countries for that matter. The standard work practice of working 8 hours per day is what the employer pays for and expects. I know of no American companies that offer prayer breaks for their employees. So what in the hell makes you so damn special?
    Islamist should keep your barbaric religion to yourself or go back to whence you came. You are sure as hell not wanted here.

  5. I worked in Ft. Morgan for 2 years and these goat f..ckers are animals. The plant was IBP at the time and I have no pity for the company. They traded the Mexicans for muslims, What could go wrong with that? The Hispanics hate those bastards, primarily because they took their jobs, second they are non Christian.

    When I was in Plainview TX the same dynamic but IBP would bus the somalians from Amarillo to work because their existence in the 80% Hispanic population of Plainview you might say “caused some problems”.

    Cargil is the major reason that Minnesota is being taken over by somalians

  10. Tyson Foods has also had run ins with the Muslims. Increased times for “prayers” and Tyson also swapped out Labor Day for Eid al-Fitr. LMAO, it reminds me of the Muslim guys that went to work driving a truck for a liquor distributor then were fired for refusing to off load and deliver the cases of liquor on the basis of their “religion”. The Muslims were awarded $240K by a jury during an EEOC hearing. Ain’t America great?

  11. They’ll each be awarded about $10,000. The lawyers will take 1/3 of that so they’ll each end up with about $7,000.
    Not even enough to keep themselves from having to have a job for a year.

    “(Meredith) – Cargill Meat Solutions is recalling about 132,000 pounds of ground beef products that may be contaminated with E. coli, the U.S. Department of Agriculture announced Wednesday.
    The beef products were identified after an investigation into an E. coli outbreak, which had resulted in 17 illnesses and one death since Aug. 16, the USDA’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) said in a statement.
    Each patient had consumed ground beef products purchased at various retail stores that were supplied by Cargill Meat Solutions, according to FSIS.”

    I mean, if you’re a multi-billion dollar, per year, every single year, government office… and you float some, well a lot, of “not a bribe”s to some other government offices… to have them send in the army… to protect the foreign (literally literal foreign) invasion force you’ve hired… to crush the domestic costs you’re incurring… and some of the rest of the government offices bray “Where’s mine?”… the sumpin-sumpin you have to break off should probably be a bit more than what you gross in less than 7 minutes.

    That seems “fair”.
