CREEPING SHARIA-
A Palestinian refugee in Houston convicted of attempting to back Islamic State terrorists overseas is seeking a new federal trial, claiming he didn’t understand the consequences of violating the terms of supervised release when he pleaded guilty.
Omar Faraj Saeed Al Hardan, who came to the U.S. in 2009, alleges that U.S. District Judge Lynn Hughes did not clearly advise him that he faced a possible life term for violating federal probation if he entered a guilty plea, according to court document filed Tuesday. Al Hardan, who had an Arabic interpreter for the proceeding, also says his court-appointed lawyer failed to ensure that the judge advised him of this possibility.
However, David Adler, Al Hardan’s court-appointed trial lawyer, noted in an email that the judge appears to have warned Al Hardan about this scenario, and pointed to a verbatim excerpt of the hearing quoted in Al Hardan’s appellate brief. more
Just think of the consequences of being a Christian in the hell hole he came from. What if we treated him the same?
Hey dude with too many names – STFU!
Poor baby! I’d sentence him to life just for being pissy. ….Lady in Red
This will not play well in Houston, even with the Sorus backed district Attorney. When any criminal is released on bond they are advised of the conditions of such release numerous times. To claim he was unaware is fourteen karat bullshit. Suck em up raghead, your not going to do well in the Texas penitentiary system. heh heh heh
I think they should deport him by strapping him to a cruise missile. It’s cheaper, and more spectacular.
Nice try, shithead.
Thanks for playing.
Maybe he wants the same trial with a different verdict. The classic definition of insanity. He should be the leader of the Gitmo swim team!
Thanks for wasting more taxpayer money. Jihad by any means!
And then when he is found guilty and given a more harsh sentence than what he plea bargained for he can sue again because he did not realize he would get more time by going to court and then lose.
