Breitbart London: Gun-Free UK: Man Shot in Head by Bicycle-Riding Assassin.
A man was shot dead by a gunman on a pedal bike in broad daylight in Liverpool, England, on Sunday morning.
Armed police officers and paramedics attempted to treat the 27-year-old victim for “critical injuries to the head and torso” at the scene, but he was pronounced dead not long after being taken to hospital, according to a police statement.
Detectives currently believe the killing was “targeted” and have released a description of the suspected assassin — who remains at large — as being “in his late 20s, white, of medium build, dressed all in black, and wearing a high-vis orange jacket”.
“The investigation into this shocking incident is in its very early stages, and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have information which could help us establish the full circumstances and find those responsible,” commented Detective Chief Superintendent Natalie Perischine.
“We share the community’s shock that this could happen in a residential street in broad daylight late on a Sunday morning. I want to reassure the public that gun crime will not be tolerated on the streets of Merseyside at any time of day, and that we will thoroughly investigate any information given to us so we can put anyone who carries guns on our streets behind bars,” she added.
“I appeal again to anyone who may have seen the incident itself, or someone making off on foot or on a pedal bike, to please get in touch.” MORE

Sorry BFH I know you ride a bike, but since this is a bicycle post I need to rant at stupid people.
Saturday I’m driving down a rural highway, one of those two lane roads that you just know they were drunk when they made the hilly thing full of curves and no shoulder. When I come around a sharp curve going downhill suddenly there is an idiot biker in my path. Barely was I able to almost come to a complete stop to avoid turning him into roadkill.
I get it everyone these days in all levels of government want us to share the roads with bikes, but can’t there be some damn common sense? When you are casually pedaling along at about 3 mph on a windy road and you can’t be seen until someone is on top of you, that makes you either pretty stupid or wanting to commit suicide.
ORWW, couldn’t you simply have pretended to miss but failed?
This is fake news. England has a strict gun ban in place so this could never have happened. Maybe the Brits are using this gun ban success story to justify the knife ban they recently adopted since the plan seems to be so effective. So you can just ignore the next fake news story of a stabbing from London since it couldn’t have happened.

I just don’t get it once upon a time all kids were taught get out of the way when a car is coming. Now adults just ride down the middle of the highway. It honestly makes zero sense, every major highway has a minimum speed limit that they can’t reach, yet we have to share the road with them.
A 12″ piece of rebar through the spokes is a good remedy for bicycles…..
